Review: V is for victory! Bryan Gee and Jumpin Jack Frost's label continues to mark three whole decades with the second volume of their 30 Years VA. First up is a VIP of L-Side's already flattening remix of Krust's 'Not Necessarily A Man' before Alibi and A-Audio go toe-to-toe on the soulful bruiser 'Middlemen' where a big funk sample gets battered into submission but an equally stunning Reese. Last but not least Level 2 closes the EP down with another VIP treat - 'Bite The Bone'. Woof woof!

Review: Dutty Audio are turning ten years old this week and boy do they know how to live large and celebrating larger, as their 10 Years of Dutty Audio compilation brings together some of the biggest names in drum & bass for a firestorm of crushing basslines and hammered up hits. Chromatic, Mefjus, Teddy Killerz, Level 2, Neve and Optiv & BTK are amongst the heavyweights on the release and it's a stellar lineup for the label to have secured. Level 2 brings one of the more considered, stripped back cuts of the compilation with 'Nothing To Fear', which has a bounciness that belies the undertones of ferocity which lie beneath it. Mefjus is on top form as per with his remix of 'Whatever', and Neve is back to his usal breaksy, creative tricks with 'Space Cowboy's'. Wicked stuff.

Review: Yes, yes, yes and another ten yesses. This release is something we approve of. Opening with force thanks to Emperor's incredible remix of Optiv & BTK's "Let It Loose", this commemorative release from one of the scene's best labels is a big deal. Next up, Mindscape's "Do It Like This" gets a brain melting remix from Maztek as it rips through your chest, and ready yourself for the retaliation as Mindscape gets to do a number on Maztek's "Sinestesia", forcing seismic bass into tight punches of hard-stepping goodness. Final tune "Nothing To Fear" sees Kyrist unleash neurofunk hell, the perfect way to round off a pretty much perfect release.

Review: Innerground continues its reign over the soulful and jazzy D&B world with a storming collection of shining new music from some of the scene's finest. Arguably the greatest liquid collab duo in history Marky & Makoto pair up for not one but two massive tracks, heading up the EP in 'we mean business' style. Also featuring their love for jazz funk are Austria's own RoyGreen & Protone, blasting that groove with a lush, retro feel, as does Brazilian newcomer Level 2. Liquid veteran Submorphics drops by to reveal a sweet summer anthem in "Hazel Street" and rounding off the comp is newcomer T>I with a hypnotic delve through nasty electronic percussion.
