Review: This collection showcases work from a number of new producers who deserve kudos. As label owner Patrick Topping astutely observes, each track is of such a high quality that they could have featured as standalone releases. There's the insistent vocal house of Matrefakt's "Turn It Up", while Testpress' "Heeltoe" represents a harder sound, with a focus on dramatic stabs and a driving, percussive rhythm. The compilation also spotlights less expected styles. Pablo Says' "I Wanna See" resounds to a menacing bass and snappy percussion, with these elements providing the backdrop for an infectious, filtered vocal. And if you're on the hunt for a deliciously tripped out slice of deep house, look no further than Hyyken's "Acid Riddim".

Review: At this point, it is genuinely quite difficult to keep finding words to describe just how impressive the Garage Shared output has been over the course of 2021, This latest compilation project sees them banner up the full collection of artists they have been working alongside with a monstrous tracklisting, featuring 15 original scorchers for us all to enjoy. The tracklisting itself features the likes of Oh My Daze, Soulstate, Deja, Bear Like, Howden, Lazy Susan and a bag of other Garage Shared regulars who have all had pretty impressive 2021s. The highlights and immediate standouts however have to include the sunshine-laden swings of 'Temperature' from Lewis Taylor, drenched in nostalgia and old school 2-step energy, alongside the charming vocal chops of 'All I Need' from DJ DJEGOR and the futuristic rhythmic switches of '1 Touch' from Sub Templa.Big up the Garage Shared crew for another wicked project and a wavy way to round off the year.

Review: The Garage Shared team continue to do a fantastic job of showcasing both the best in UKG right now, whilst also platforming an exciting wave of newcomers, the latter of which this spicy new compilation takes a primary focus on. We begin with a sumptuous UKG summer anthem as Deja unveils 'Give It To Me', featuring Sydney Jane', kickstarting the project with a high ceiling as Sydney's beautiful vocals grace a delightful 2-step backdrop. We then move into Howden's 'Obsession' next, forming a tidy fusion of garage and bassline themes with its groovy melodic design, all before Green Deep ups the tempo on 'It's Alright', linking up smart horn riffs and a packed out rhythm section in style. To round off, we take it even more old school as Lewis Taylor delivers a skippy vocal chop extravaganza with 'Temperature', chased up by a top notch outro track in SOULSTATE's 'I Wanna', again using a stunning vocal & rhythm combo to seal the deal.
