Review: As boss of Balkan Connection South America, Nicholas Van Orton (no connection to Conrad) presents the milestone fourteenth edition of his label compilation series. Real name Ariel Gandolfo, the Buenos Aires based DJ/producer/illustrator serves up some choice electronic cuts on BCSA 014, the bulk of it by Van Orton himself in collaboration with a slew of other local artists. His collaboration with Hot TuneiK titled "Agua" is on a deep and sensual progressive house tip, while his track "Shelby" gets reinvented as a tribal rain dance by Rick Pier O'Neil. Nikko Mavridis makes a few appearances and is in top form on the deep electro house mood music of "Indigo" (original mix), while pure euphoria awaits on Daniel Glover's remix of Federico Monachesi's "Lebda" and there's always time for a track that is as slinky and hypnotic as Enzo Corigliano "Monica" (original mix).
