Review: Dennis Cruz's musical journey has seen him receive accolades for his output, with a number of awards and nominations including Best Producer in 2017's DJ Awards and releasing on influential imprints like Solid Grooves, Moon Harbour and Hot Creations. For his new one on Damian Lazarus' Crosstown Rebels imprint entitled "Uhuru", he teams up with fellow Spaniards Delmar and Alvaro aka aka Los Suruba for some deeply meditative and trance-inducing deepness - perfect for a shamanic ritual. He then flies solo on the hypnotic afterhours tech house of "Los Libros" which features some sweltering polyrhythms with truly scintillating Latin vocals. Closing it out is the dirty, tough rolling jacker "Loco" which proves this top producer can rock the main room too!

Review: Hailing from the Spanish city of Valencia, DJ/producer Edu Imbernon teams up with fellow countrymen Delmar Dos Santos and Alvaro Munoz aka Los Suruba (Nazca / Sol Selectas / Tale & Tone) to deliver their brand new EP. Having previously collaborated on a number of occasions, the trio once again seamlessly combine emotive, melodic techno sounds with spiritual undertones and tribal desert vibes on the absolutely epic "Balear". Afro house hero Hyenah then follows through with his spiritually enchanting rework. Second original offering "Mehari" is a slinky and hypnotic tech house excursion which explores the power of atmosphere, with Fell Reis then offering up their remix of the track in absolutely evocative and life affirming fashion.

Review: Joining us in doffing our caps to Danish DJ/producer Noir, whose enduring label celebrates five years in the only way it knows how - with a compilation highlighting the imprint's delicious back catalogue. 5 Years Of Noir Music showcases some of the finest slices of deep, minimal house music that positively drips with emotion; check the uplifting Nicolas Masseyeff remix of Hot Since 82's "Let I Ride", and Manuel Tur's killer refix of Larse's deep soul jam "So Long" for just two examples, but in all honesty picking out highlights is an exercise in futility as the entire package is just so strong.

Review: Danish DJ/producer Noir's self-titled label has been surprisingly prolific over recent times. So prolific, in fact, that this latest label 'best of' features a whopping 20 tracks, each of which originally came out in the last 18 months. Those who've followed the label will know what to expect - comfy, melodic deep house, springy electronic house and the occasional fuzzy tech-house groover. With tracks and remixes from Kruse & Nuremburg, Tiger Striples, Solomon, Ron Carroll, Trickski and Dan Ishu (whose "Nu Luv" re-invents Frankie Knuckles' "Your Love" as a synth-house banger), there's plenty of high grade house music to enjoy.

Review: Lovely little compilation here from Noir Music, with the pleasingly titled Second Chances & New Romances. Opening with the distant, plaintive vocals and horizontal bumpin' groove of "I Found You" by Tiger Stripes, the six track selection serves as a wonderful sampler for the imprint's established signature sound. The sultry, understated emotion of Eivissa's edit of Larse's "The More I Want" is probably the highlight, but it's a tough call because everything on here is so damn playable.
