Review: "!Kollections" banner. Each focuses on a certain aspect of the long-running label's vast back catalogue. The fourth edition, for example, focused on disco. "Reflections", the latest volume, is not as tight stylistically and instead gathers together tracks that tend towards the deep, poignant, beautiful and melancholy. There are many treats amongst the 27 showcased selections, with highlights including an impeccable chunk of string-laden downtempo pop from DJ Tennis and Fink, a dreamy slice of loved-up house warmth from Lone, the bustling, dream house era Mediterranean holiday memories of Mugwump's "God is Gracious" and the thrusting, big room-friendly late night hypnotism of Dubfire's "Dust Devil".

Review: K7's new sub-label 7K! presents two remixes of Luca D'Alberto from his recent album entitled Endless. Richard Dorfmeister & Stefan Obermaier's remix of "Her Dreams" is a stunning deep nu-disco rendition carried by a glistening arpeggio, cloudy rhythms and hypnotic pads. The legendary Howie B's rendition will take you deep down into the rabbit hole on this eerie (and somewhat haunting) ambient revision. D'Alberto's first recording for newly-formed, Berlin-based, neo-classical imprint, at its heart, is a blood and guts re-imagining of what neoclassical can be: passionate and daring. Music that jumps out from the shadows at you.

Review: Italian neo classical impressario released the single "Wait For Me" in late 2016 and inaugurated new !k7 diffusion imprint 7k! Fitting then that another recognised virtuso takes up the remix duties: Frankfurter Gilles Aiken aka Edward. The staple of such esteemed imprints as White (with good mate Oskar Offermann) and Giegling has carved out a singular sound with his take on the deep house sound. The euphoric and absolutely swinging groove that is the main remix, merges the evocative strings of the original that are chopped up and merged with his now renowned sense of rhythm. The Ambienca version is deeper, mysterious even. With its subdued rhythms, celestial pads and brooding sub bass again supporting D'Alberto's flawless string section.

Review: !K7 is proud to announce the launch of a new division, 7K!, Italian composer Luca D'Alberto. The new platform is dedicated to cutting edge neo-classical musicians and composers. Keeping in mind they've worked extensively with the likes of Brandt Brauer Frick previously, their sister label will be an innovative force in the 'contemporary classical movement', seeking to provide a platform for 'genre-busting' artists who are changing the way we conceive classical music. Luca D'Alberto's debut album Endless, is produced by Martyn Heyne and Innervisions staple Henrik Schwarz. There's so many highlights on here from the evocative and bittersweet "Wait For Me" which tugs on the heartstrings as much The Kronos Quartet, the soothing/dust covered hypnotism of "Blessed Messenger" and "Yellow Moon" are our picks. The latter displaying some absolutely impressive mastery in its mesmerising string section.
