Review: US nu disco/edit producer Jon Nedza, aka Gazeebo, has been on fire lately with some of his most recent releases being amongst his finest ever. However here he's delivered a nostalgic long player that compiles material dating back to his Drums in Space days in the late '90s. There are 16 tracks to get your teeth into, including the bonkers pots 'n' pans percussion funk of the title track, the boogie-meets punk-funk-downtown vibes of "Gemini" and the remarkably titled "Science Fiction & The Erotic (Cowbell EFX tool 2010)" by Zoe's Raygun.

Review: In keeping with the stoner nu-disco vibe of Gazeebo and Ryel K's Mammoth Studios project, the three mixes contained here are pretty deep. If the Astronautic mix of "Dub The Disco", is a far out nod-out only being kept awake by an incessant cowbell, then the Cosmonautic mix is a lean, mean, prowling night panther of a tune. However, the squelchy Aquanautic version is a long, slow plunge into the deep end of the space disco Jacuzzi. Dreamy!

Review: Somewhat surprisingly, there's very little information online about Mammoth Studios, or at least this particular Mammouth Studios. It's apparently a collaboration between Gazeebo (bossman of Gazeebo International) and old pal Ryel K. Musically, Tales From The Cosmic Woolly offers a deep, dubby and smoker-friendly take on cosmic disco, delivering tracks that wrap vintage synth melodies and spacious pads around dense, space disco percussion. Highlights are plentiful, from the bubbling, synth-laden sweetness of "Fossils", and hip-hop tempo bump of "Earth Babies From Space", to the classic kosmiche of standout cut "Moondance". The deep, sprawling electrofunk of "Josephine Street" is also top notch.
