Review: The ninth instalment of Perc Trax's remix compilation series comprises some of the label's most memorable reworks. From the original 2022 release, all four remixes of Marc 'The Mover' Acardipane's "Pitch-Hiker" are included. Ghost in the Machine and Acardipane's own rework are suitably intense - in both instances gargantuan, hyper-speed kicks provide the backdrop for intense builds. Acardipane's remix is particularly unhinged and breaks down into a wall of feedback driven noise. Perc also contributes a pounding reshape that focuses on relentless drums and splurging bass.
In contrast, Sissel & Peder's 'Double Drop' version provides light relief with a seductive, low-slung electro version. Electro in its darkest form also features on Jensen Interceptor's take on Perc's "Resistor", as a relentless bass is combined with whiplash metallic percussion with devastating impact. Tassid's version of the same track is a relentless, looped banger, while a slower but equally intense version of Perc Trax's industrial techno sound can be heard on Scalameriya's hardcore bass-led take on Ghost In The Machine's "Zero".
