Review: The Craft Music label is back after a one year break with some fresh new cuts by resident Marco Lazovic. It's an EP inspired by the sound of the English club scene in the nineties and noughties, labels like Good Looking Records and artists such as Mike Millrain. Opener 'Losin Control' sure is a compelling mix of electro and breaks that soars on cosmic lines with euphoric vocals in the distance. 'Come To London' has a distinctly garage feel to it with its crisp broken beats and there is more high energy but melody-rich breakbeat action in 'Dark Gravity', while 'Space Jazzy' is s super sweet and deep jungle cruiser.

Review: Moscow-based producer Marco Lazovic has scored a few significant releases over the past five years, landing on Lobster Theremin and appearing alongside Minimal Violence on a cassette release back in 2016. Now DJ Craft's Craft Music label has invited Lazovic to throw down his bold and brassy take on soundsystem dynamics in a modern context. This is mellow, melodic music with a hefty bottom end touching on red-lining electro and electronica in equal measure, slipping into ambient jungle territory here and there and overall creating a delightful trip for the mind, body and soul.

Review: Next up from the extensive Soviett Rave family, they unveil the stupendous collection of tracks that make up this incredible compilation entitled 'Make Rave Great Again'. The project as a whole is a dive into all areas of breakbeat flavour, from the fast paced bass dips of Boychi's 'Rageful Electric Wave' and glitchy drum skips of Jukrainian's 'Smoke Da Smoke Rythmture', through to the more slower paced rolls of Lazerchoke's 'Amen Mix' of 'Keyfit', and the more hardcore inspired synths of 'Nen' from Gmorozov. It's a powerful selection of rave-ready originals to say the least, with Nightdrive's stunning arrangement of 'Sick Rave' and the stunning soundscaping of Anton Romezz's 'Evening In Ghetto' being our two stand out originals. Incredible work!

Review: Slam City Jams is an upcoming label from Munich, and its third release provides a platform for emerging house music talent. First up is production pair COEO, who are best known for their releases on Toy Tonics. "Never Going Home", their contribution to Volume 1, is an off-beat, slinky electronic groove that features a moody bass and warm, warbling melodies. By contrast, Doppelate's "Four Feet Up The Stairs" is more in keeping with classic deep house, thanks to its gentle keys and reflective composition, while on label owners? Rhode & Brown's "More Drama (Less Hysteria)", the release moves into the warm and squelchy electronic disco the Dutch West Coast. Rounding off this impressive EP is Marco Lazovic's Chicago-influenced "In The Jungle".
