Review: After the massive success of "Following" earlier this year, Toolroom presents another brilliant collaboration between veteran British producer Martin Ikin (Repopulate Mars/Elrow) and vocalist Hayley May. Ikin is a firm member of the the label by now, having played for some of the label's major events this year, and we're pretty certain that "How I Feel" is going to be a major hit on dancefloors for the remainder of this summer. Classic funky house led by uplifting pianos and a powerful vocal performance, which captures the spirit of legends such as Michael Watford and Terry Hunter.
Review: It's that time of year again, when deals are made and stars are born in The City Of Magic. In preparation for Miami's Winter Music Conference, Mark Knight & Co. serve up their hit predictions on Toolroom Miami 2019 - accept no substitute! Across a whopping 62 tracks, there's all you need to hear, right here, across the event's five consecutive days and compiled in three continuous mixes, appropriately titled: The Poolside Mix, The Club Mix and rather appropriately The Afterclub Mix. Highlights not limited to: Illyus & Barrientos swingin' diva antics on "Shout", chief Mark Knight with Danny Howard channeling early noughties tech house on the polyrhythmic "You Can Do It Baby", French bass-house hero Shiba San on the super boompty "Crush That" through to legend ATFC on the epic "Strong 2 Survive" (Dario D'Attis extended mix) and Israeli progressive house expert Khen on the slinky and hypnotic "Pecas" (original mix).

Review: Mark Brown presents the Cr2 Live & Direct Radio Show, with one hour of the hottest new dance music every week featuring exclusive tracks doing the rounds right now - and some forthcoming house and tech house gems. Here is the playlist from the July 2019 edition with highlights not limited to: Jacky (UK) with the tough acid inflected roller "Toggles", the classic rave aesthetic of Julie McDermott's "Don't Go" (Roger That remix - extended mix), the legendary Todd Terry proving just why he is still the rhythm master to this day on "Samba 2017" (InHouse mix) and Sui Generis & Kane Law going for some moody afterhours minimal on "We R Kool".
Black Girl & White Girl - "Mystikal" - (6:16) 129 BPM

Review: Repopulate Mars, the LA-based label headed up by Lee Foss and born out of the nomadic party of the same name, bring us their first compilation album, which features 18 house and tech-house cuts built with one purpose in mind: to get booties moving on dancefloors. Black Girl White Girl, Martin Ikin and Andre Salmon are among the better-known contributors but more undergound names make up most of the tracklist, and the overall mood throughout is fast-paced and energetic, with highlights including Ikin's Donna Allen-sampling 'Serious Talk', Mhod & Federico Ambrosi's phat n' funky 'Groovin' and the robotic techy stomp of Syap's 'Two Fifteen PM'.
