Tim Ryan All Stars serves up something easier on the ears for those red stripe afternoons in the sun, while for something a little more soulful and liquid - perfect for the peak time - check out Sound Shifter's "Loving You Forever". Review: With the elegant and upbeat "L.I.T (Lifted in Trance)" still hot off the press from its February release, Dope Ammo teams up with RIQ Yardrock's Marvellous Cain to take us back to the roots of the jungle. "Junglist Villain" is the dancefloor smasher you deserve, made to tear it up and leave crowds wanting more thanks to Shaddy MC and Amiah's addictive vocals and some serious dancehall flavas. "Sound Boy" featuring Andrew Paul cranks up the decibels again with a bassline that could floor a herd of mastodon. Ridiculously danceable jungle - it's not a word, but that's exactly what it is.

Take any track here - from fresh originals like AKAS's 'The Meaning' to revitalised classics like the VIP of Marvellous Cain's 'Wanted Dead Or Alive' - and the energy and vibe cannot be faulted. Consider the fact some of Singing Fats' last ever recorded vocals and the fact you have music by a king like Marky on here and this really is an exceptional collection. Big up the Subbase crew!

Review: Over two decades later and we're still "playing that bloody jungle music all night": records don't come any more seminal than Marvellous Cain and Cutty Ranks limb-by-limb-shaking "HitMan". While the original still slews the dance 22 years since its first outing, each of these four updates are highly welcome: the legendary Bladerunner updates his 2013 remix with a little VIP twist, Brum newcomers Jungle Citizenz go for a darker, techier heads-down roll while the ever-crucial DJ Hybrid sickens up the dance with a tubular bass jungle battering. Finally King Yoof switches the vibe with a crisp dancehall riddim that pays homage to Cutty's crucial influence. Send fe de hacksaw!
