Dark Statement/At Midnight
Masker & Jimmy Danger - "Dark Statement" - (4:27) 58 BPM
Masker & Indigo - "At Midnight" - (4:10) 58 BPM Hot
Review: Over on Murky Digital, Masker is banging out the badness with a brand new single that features MC heat on both cuts courtesy of Jimmy Danger and Indigo. It's a typically moody release from the label and the producer, who have a track record of this kind of thing, and 'Dark Statement' rests above gully, pitched down drums that beef up the bigness and provide a solid basis on which it's stabby basses can roar through the spaces. Indigo puts in a wicked performance on 'At Midnight', as its inch-perfect drums inch out with devilish precision, the perfect accompaniment to a bassline that's like an elbow in the face - but in a good way. Top notch.

Fully Armed EP
Every Ting - (4:24) 175 BPM Hot
Jungle Lick - (4:28) 175 BPM
Hush - (4:25) 175 BPM
Harmonic Drones - (4:25) 175 BPM
Fully Armed - (4:28) 175 BPM
Review: Serial Killaz is back with their latest EP, which is pretty impressive stuff and a welcome sight after their little break. The title track is wide, forceful and ceaselessly crazy, an arrangement of limit-breaking synths coming together in a surprisingly melodic arrangement - one for the raves. 'Jungle Lock', 'Hush', 'Harmonic Drones and 'Fully Armed' are all in a similar vein, just pure dancefloor killers with the energy to keep you going once the sun starts hitting your face. This is a non-stop EP from a crew who have been in the scene for a long time.

Reflections/Call Their Bluff
Reflections (feat Kash) - (4:25) 175 BPM Hot
Call Their Bluff - (4:26) 175 BPM
Review: Subway Soundz, despite their name perhaps have connotations of footlong sandwiches, manage to put out some of the dirtiest beats in the game. Masker is holding up that mantle with this single, a double-sided weapon with an urban-edge. 'Reflections' featuring Kash is arguably the stronger of the two if only because it has such a satisfyingly solid drum line underpinning it, Kash's menacing vocals inject the urban edge mentioned above and then the drop finished it all off - absolutely sick tune. 'Call Their Bluff' is more along Souped Up lines with its catchy melody and simple arrangement - one of the serum fans.

Review: In terms of legendary status for labels over on the jungle/jump-up side of the scene, it's pretty hard to beat Serial Killaz. Run by the duo of the same name, the imprint has arrived with the second instalment of their mixtape series and it's unsurprisingly good. Full of big tunes from guys like Serial Killaz themselves, Vital Elements and Upgrade, it's the latter of these guys that takes the cake with 'Steel Drum'. You've probably heard this one doing the rounds and it's actually already been released, but oh boy what a tune this is: a screaming, siren-lake mash of grating metallic synths and punching drums all come together to make an unstoppably good piece of music. Don't sleep on the rest of these tunes though, and a special mention goes to DJ Hybrid's 'Beatbox' - naught jungle vibes.

Pacso & Term - "Strong" - (4:24) 176 BPM
Ego Trippin - "Barely Breathing" (VIP) - (4:49) 175 BPM Hot
Coda - "Slow Ya Roll" - (5:18) 175 BPM
Certified & Silent Storm - "All Be Free" - (5:12) 175 BPM
Masker - "Dirty Business" - (4:26) 175 BPM
Review: Subway Soundz have get busy on the recruitment flex with five certified bangers from a whole cast of badmen. Higher Stakes bosser Pacso links up with Term for the grizzly opening salvo before Ego Trippin throw a few extra notes into the already infectious bassline riff on the Methodical "Barely Breathing". Elsewhere Coda tans our hides with a high harmonic Clipz-style bassline Certified & Silent Storm dust off the divas while Masker provides the final knock out with the super-bounce roller "Dirty Business". Time to get mucky.

The Shadow Web
Shadow Web - (4:26) 175 BPM Hot
Victim - (4:25) 175 BPM
Review: The mysterious Masker returns to Audio Danger with his first full single release. Following the theme set in his debut on "Whipped Up" on "The Hydra" earlier this year, the message is clear - groaning droning bass hooks over rattling, tightly-sprung rattling breaks that resonate with all styles in the drum & bass cannon from tech to jump-up. "Shadow Web" is mean piece of work with truly demonic undertone to its spaced-out bass licks while "Victim" gets a little more venomous with its sharp two-step and waspy mutant bassline. Debut singles don't hit with much more authenticity or craft than this - Masker needs your attention.
