Jupiter Jellyfish
Jupiter Jellyfish - (5:58) 124 BPM Hot
Five Miles Past Midnight - (6:30) 124 BPM
Review: Fellow German scene veterans Steve Bug (Dessous) and Matthias Tanzmann (Moon Harbour) have had a long history of collaboration, dating back to 2005's Tanzbug EP on the former's esteemed Poker Flat imprint. Fast forward to 2022, they've combined efforts once again for Hot Since 82's ever reliable Knee Deep In Sound and the result is "Jupiter Jellyfish". A dubby and hypnotic expression in minimal/tech house by two masters of the art, it is backed by second offering "Five Miles Past Midnight" a serving of late night mood music that's perfect for the warm-up

The Treat
The Treat - (6:47) 123 BPM
Filthy - (6:26) 125 BPM Hot
Review: Moon Harbour label chief Matthias Tanzmann makes a surprising addition to west coast bass house institution Dirtybird. Proving that there is a wide variety within his sonic repertoire, the legend from Leipzig shows that not only is he a seasoned expert at slinky tech house grooves but also fun-loving boompty stuff - of the bass driven variety. His new thriller comes in the form of "The Treat" - here is a big, fat and funky party starter with enough power in the low end to truly shake the room. Second offering "Filthy" sure knows how to bounce, with its solid 303 bassline, druggy vocal loops and super swingin' rhythms to boot.

Summer Camp Vol 2
Sabb - "One Of Us" (feat Forrest - Dennis Ferrer remix) - (6:51) 122 BPM
Sable Sheep - "Upon Burning Skies" - (8:24) 123 BPM
Outart - "Sun Splash" - (9:09) 126 BPM
Matthias Tanzmann - "Chano" - (10:37) 122 BPM Hot
Review: With Summer Camp, Moon Harbour introduces a series of compilations that features re-releases of summer tracks from the label's back stock. The slinky and emotive remix by veteran Dennis Ferrer of Sabb's "One Of Us" (feat Forrest) has not aged at all in the last three years. From 2013's time capsule is Sable Sheep's "Upon Burning Skies" which is tribal house at its finest and nearly a decade later: label head honcho Matthias Tanzmann serves up his terrific "Chano" which similarly explores polyrhythmic latin flair - it's sure to get some near spiritual moments in effect on the dancefloor.

Review: Berlin native Oliver Koletzki has cited his hometown as a main point of reference and inspiration throughout his career. His last two albums are said to be 'wholehearted tributes' to the German capital and its importance in the current climate of electronic music. The label's aesthetic - right down to the cover art is testament to this - featuring photos of local landmarks and graffiti adorning his fair city. There are little to no corners in the city that haven't brought a spark of inspiration into the mix and the eighth instalment of the Schneeweiss (English translation 'white snow') compilation series, is said to be a tribute to the many aspects or 'particles' consolidated as a series of carefully curated tracks. There's so many highlights on here and we're only going to name a few, but they're not limited to: hometown hero and one time Terranova member Rampa's brooding dance floor drama on "Fluke", Frankey & Sandrino bridging the gap between tech-house and nu-disco ever so gracefully again on "Solaris", Cologne's finest Andhim lend their deft hand on a remix of Leipzig figurehead Matthias Tanzmann's "Coffee Clouds" and the man from Mannheim Ray Okpara who's still going: his track "Satin Curtain" getting a smooth remix by the legendary Kevin Yost.

Momentum Remixes Part 2
Tamarind (Hot Since 82 remix) - (7:16) 124 BPM
Coffee Clouds (Acid Pauli remix) - (5:59) 125 BPM Hot
Frenzy (Emanuel Satie remix) - (7:21) 124 BPM
Sfumato (Kerri Chandler remix) - (7:12) 120 BPM
Review: The Leipzig legend and long standing Distillery Club resident Matthias Tanzmann presented his brilliant second album entitled Momentum on his highly esteemed Moon Harbour Recordings imprint in 2016. After the first volume of reworks which presented great renditions by Ovum boss Josh Wink and and the recently retired Jesse Rose, Momentum (Remixes Part 2) features a mighty, rolling, main room peak time destroyer by the current scene favourite Hot Since 82 giving "Tamarind" the Knee Deep In Sound treatment. Elsewhere, the renowned German producer Martin Gretschmann aka Acid Pauli delivers a deep and minimal version of "Coffee Clouds" which is perfect for getting weird at the after hours. On the flip, they save the best for last: the legendary Kerri Chandler hands in his remix of "Sfumato"and delivers that timeless and evocative NYC basement vibe for late night, divine moments of truth.

Review: Matthias Tanzmann and his Moon Harbour imprint are now almost household names in today's hugely popular appeal of house and techno. The Leipzig native and Distillery Club resident has been plying his craft over nearly two decades with a massive discography of his own, not to mention his various residencies over the years at some of The White Isle's biggest parties, namely Circo Loco. The Momentum LP is his first album since 2008's Restless and sees Tanzmann explore a variety of moods and grooves; from the deep and tropical vibes of the opener "Tamarind", the dusty deep house of "Rybu", the slinky and emotive tech house usually more associated with him as shown on "Fireworks On The Roof" plus he proves he can still pursue something more experimental like on the dubby minimal hypnotism of "Sfumato".

No Sleep
No Sleep - (8:01) 124 BPM Hot
Sleazy Rider - (7:50) 123 BPM
Played by: Resident Advisor
Review: Moon Harbour bossman Matthias Tanzman steps out of his own label and lands most vertically on the ultra-prolific Saved imprint, Steve Lawler's own household. "No Sleep" is classic Tanzmann, where rolling drums blend with perfectly placed melodic shards and sublimely sampled vocal patters - what we like to call a tech-house banger! "Sleazy Rider", as the name suggests, is dirtier and deeper, digging out the percussion more amid bouncy low-end sequences and minimal atmospheric bursts. Certified killers, as usual.

Review: Steve Lawler's label unleashes the second installment of its Warriors series. While the UK DJ is synonymous with his tribal house sound, there is enough variety on this compilation to keep the listener interested. Sante's "That Girl" revolves around heavy drums and a tripped out break down, while Davide Squillace & Guti's "The Other Side Of Hustler" pushes further in that direction, with spooky chants unfolding over a driving groove. Vocals also prevail on the compilation's other highlights: Philip Bader's "Crazy" sees pitched down vocals introduced over deep chords, while Bimas' excellent "Never Say Goodbye" fuses icy synths and a moody male vocal to create a sombre dance floor cut.
