Review: The mysterious Meta has been moving from more concrete shapes to more abstract ones, from effective, stripped-back techno to gloriously skeletal ambient music. In fact, this new EP for the Kabalion label is even named "Ambiente" and it features four cinematic soundscape excursions that recall the sounds of a rainforest. From 1 through to 4, META establishes a concrete sonic space that is still loose and abstract enough to act as pure mood music and, as the genre on the whole goes, this is some pretty meditative gear. Five stars from us and a big tip!
