Review: Eatbrain is the Hungarian Neurofunk institution that just keeps on giving, the Central European bass place which prioritises naughty music over everything else. Well, their 2018 album is here from a selection of the artists in their orbit and its everything you'd expect from Jade and the crew. The first cut - 'Mafia' by L 33 - has been out for a little while but has rightfully been re-visited here, its Jump-Up-Neurofunk fusion landing exceptionally well with serious dancefloor implications. There are too many sick tracks on this release to cover them all here, but KOLT's 'Harpy' and 'Pararampam' from Agressor Bunx are two more absolutely ridiculous bits of production. Well worth a look.

Level 2 - "Nothing To Fear" (Kyrist remix) - (5:38) 172 BPM
Review: Yes, yes, yes and another ten yesses. This release is something we approve of. Opening with force thanks to Emperor's incredible remix of Optiv & BTK's "Let It Loose", this commemorative release from one of the scene's best labels is a big deal. Next up, Mindscape's "Do It Like This" gets a brain melting remix from Maztek as it rips through your chest, and ready yourself for the retaliation as Mindscape gets to do a number on Maztek's "Sinestesia", forcing seismic bass into tight punches of hard-stepping goodness. Final tune "Nothing To Fear" sees Kyrist unleash neurofunk hell, the perfect way to round off a pretty much perfect release.

Review: Another day, another dollar, another magnificent release from Fokuz. Here they bring together friends and family for the second installment in their Fokuz & Friends compilation album series, which is, as you would expect, full of blissed out beauties and liquid gems from artist such as Calibre, Eveson, Mindscape and more. The album begins with the Calibre remix of Silent Dust's - "1959" - a beautiful and gentle cut, with tripping breaks and lilting melodies. We are then taken through such moments as "It's Your Jazz" with its shimmying rhythms, the raw jungle edge of "Inna Dem Clothes" to Getz's "Little Hand Bells" which brings the project to a close.

Dark Times
Bulletproof & Mindscape & Tiki - "Dark Times" (State Of Mind remix) - (5:25) 172 BPM
Bulletproof & Psidream & Dose - "Line Of Sight" (Misanthrop remix) - (4:52) 172 BPM Hot
Review: "Dark Times" is taken from Jay Bulletproof?s full length album of 2008, and it's all about rolling basslines and big beats. With plenty of angst and attitude, this is a fierce drum & bass smasher that will shake the walls. Remixes come from State of Mind and Misanthrop, who add a further sense of drama with swirling sub bass.
