Review: In a crowded scene, it's important for large scale label projects such as CruCast to focus on bringing new talent through the scene, keeping the more established artists on their toes whilst injecting new levels of diversity and creativity. We here see them introduce five acts, kicking off with Xeonz who presents his electric 'World', packed with melodic energy. MPH follows with his vibrant creation entitled 'Crash', alongside Mindstate, who joins forces with Cal for 'Work'. PZP then joins the party with the vocal heavy composition of 'On You', before the gritty sub rolls of Hoda's 'Broccoli Dub' finishes up the release with a dash of finesse.

They therefore kick off the new year in like minded fashion, presenting us with this treasure trove of beauties as the 15th edition of their celebrated 'Sublime Bass' series. We here a range of styles involved, from the rolling post dubstep vibes of DGGZ's remix of 'Silked', to the more big room flavours of 'Fumble' by SP3CTRUM. Our highlights are without are the masterful future garage processings of Disperto Certain's 'Sudden Flames', along with the super groovy 'Archiva' from Soxx.

Review: It was only a matter of time until the Project Allout gang made their 2018 return as they kick the new year off with some serious bassline pressure. This release sees Bristol's own Mindstate team up with the energetic vocals of CAL for an extremely vibrant VIP mix of their earlier collaboration 'Girls'. The VIP see's funky chord patterns and spooky synth leads combine with the vocal presence for an eerie introduction which descends into bassy madness come the breakdown. On remix duty PAR bring forth Ghastly with his much quicker 4x4 rework, Jaikea with his unpredictable recreation and Sheppz Dawgy for a full grimey rethink.

Review: It's that time again, as the infamous PAR imprint returns for their yearly Christmas compilation, showcasing their extensively versatile roster and variety of musical styles. This year is a collection of returns and debuts, as we see Killjoy, Deadbeat, Dr Cryptic, KXVU, Moony, Jakebob amongst others all make solid return appearances. Some of our favorites include the haunting sounds of Dallen's grimey roller 'Time', the catchy 4x4 riffs and rhythms of Kind Hydra's 'Bass Trap' and skippy arrangement and aggressive synth design on 'Trigga' from the elusive Rotti. There aren't many labels that can boast such an extensive yet versatile roster and yet remain so assured in as many different areas of UK bass music.
