Review: Modu has been doing the rounds in the neurofunk world for a little while now and he's making another appearance on C4C, one of the all-time great labels on this side of the scene.. This release is predictably huge, with plenty of different influences creeping into its stylistic make-up and the combination of various strands of dancefloor heinousness is pretty banging. 'Lost in Sector 6' is a tumbling, jagged roller than rests on a heavyweight drum line, it moves with a constant feeling of effortlessness and there's an addictive feeling of fluidity to the arrangement that seeps through into your unconscious. Great work.

Review: Last spotted on Soul Deep in 2012, Modu returns with three more sugar-coated soul rollers. "Through The Night" is a real star-gazing piece that's highly reminiscent of Bungle's work from around five years ago; Deep, spacey but well weighted. "Stay Home & Chill" lives up to its name with its jazzy chords while the drums play the role of the mischievous mate trying to convince you to come out and play. Finally "Wrong With The" closes the show with a Marky-style up-and-down chord effect and some really classic reverse switches on the drums. Through the night? Through the whole week more like.

Review: Presenting two gorgeous liquid rollers reformed and remixed especially for you. From the lush tones of Tokalosh's remix of the soft "Blue Velvet" to the jazz-funk infused melodies of "Why Wake Me Up" remixed by Soul:Motion for Modu, these are two very different tracks borne out of the same love for musical, soulful drum and bass. Fresh sounding and full of life, both tracks manage to pull out of the liquid drum and bass circuit and move into a more sophisticated, individual sub genre of their own.

Kicking off with Bristolian Modu who's been known to make some of the freshest liquid sounds around for the past 12 months, the EP switches to a beautiful rolling tune from newcomer Telex. Review: Modu brings us the esteemed Points of Origin EP on Soul Deep Recordings, which contains four fresh new cuts aimed squarely at the soul and for laidback listening. First up is "Eskape" which is all dreamy, mellifluous melodies and hazy murmurings. Next is "Go" with its clip clop beats and spaced out atmospherics before we are led through to the title track "Points Of Origins" which gets back to basics with warm, undulating bass and shuffling breaks. Last but not least is "Reach Out For Me" which adds another explorative edge to the EP.
