Review: Since moving away from re-edits, the Gazeebo International label has really come into its own. They've also started to unearth some interesting new talent. Chief among these is Moon Modd, AKA 22 year-old Belarussian Alexey Vorobyov. Like a number of his Eastern European contemporaries, Vorobyov seems primarily interested in making fearlessly melodic nu-disco that sits somewhere between ambient, electronica and Balearica. It's a pleasing sound, all told, with much to admire. The three tracks showcased here are all worth a listen, with the sunny, organ-heavy "Scarlet Sunset" and bleep-heavy rush of the ludicrously positive "Constellation" standing out.
