Review: The LA-based trio return to Tru Thoughts, who've released two of their three long-players to date, with this, their first new material since 2017's 'Voyager' album. Based around near-bruk beats, some gentle ivories work and a phat bassline, 'Money' is a moving, grown-up kinda song in which singer Amber Navran, via her delicate, breathy vocal, suggests to an unspecified loved one (a friend, a relative, a partner?) that, as she has faith in them - "I put my money on ya" - perhaps they should have a little more faith in themselves. Instrumental and a capella versions accompany what is something of a dusty, late-night gem.
