Review: If you pay close attention to deep house trends, you can't fail to have noticed the recent upsurge in interest in "dream house", the late '80s Italian sub-genre famed for its loved-up waviness. At the forefront of this revival stands the Blind Jacks Journey label and their Dream House Tropicana series. This fourth volume is every bit as essential as its predecessors. Italian veteran Deep88 impresses with the tactile rhythms, head-in-the-clouds chords and cascading melodies of "Breakfast Club", while Mozaika successfully wraps gentle acid lines, held-note strings and vibrant electronics around a sparse rhythm track on opener "Eurytmia II". RNr handles the flipside, offering up the Balearic broken beats of "Refresh Your Hair" and the dub-fuelled deep house jauntiness of "Tap4".
