Review: Mr BC is known to his Mum and the taxman as Bob Salmond, and hails from Leeds. Here he returns to Tici Taci with a cut that's served up in three quite different flavours. The Rave Mix of 'Make It Burn' is a fat n' squelchy slab of acid with a garnish of coldwave-like synths, while label boss Duncan Grey serves up a remake of his own that has much more of an 80s funk sound palette - check out that bassline and those Moog-y bleeps! Completing the package is a techier rub from Viper Patrol that's quite dark overall but is also flecked with house-y pianos.

Review: It's over 130 years since Edison invented the phonograph, and with the amount of music recorded and released growing exponentially every year, it gets harder and harder for musicians and producers to come up with anything that's truly original or unique-sounding. MASSIVE props, then, to Leeds lad Bob Salmond, whose debut album as Mr BC sits squarely under the nu-disco umbrella yet somehow still calls to mind, in different places, everything from Killing Joke (check those basslines!) to Italo, via funk, new wave, acid house and Lord knows what else. Staggeringly inventive, 'Invisible College' is a must-check!

Review: Glamour Mourgue' is a weird one, it's slow, creepy, with glimmers of heavy rock, but it's funky as hell. The 'Freudenthal' remix however speeds things up, and actually sounds more like an X-Files theme tune remix rather than a 'Glamor Mourge' remix although do we have the same earthy electric guitars as the original. The 'Modulaire' remix is still odd, it's a speedy version with the addition of off key organ tones. The 'Man 2.0' remix certainly catches the attention, with a continuous uncomfortable high pitch squeak, some fun echoing bongo and hints of animal noise
