Review: As with much of Athens Of The North's material, original copies of "You've Got A Lot Of Living" are nigh on impossible to find. The record was self-released by Ed "Mr Wigg" Wiley in 1980, on his short-lived Wiglet imprint. Whatever the origins, "You've Got A Lot Of Living" is something of a jazz-funk influenced disco-boogie gem, with party-hearty vocals riding a killer groove that boasts the twin attractions of jaunty Clavinet lines and music box style melodies. The largely instrumental "Part 2" version gives the clav lines a chance to breathe, while also featuring the crunchy guitar riffs more prominently in the mix. Both sides are superb.
