Review: We're not quite sure how they keep managing to unearth these instant gems, but it seems as though Wheel & Deal have done it yet again, as we take a look at this brand new sizzling three tracker from MRSHL, doused in original steppers heat. We begin with the eerie chord work and slithering synthesizer ascensions of 'On One', which work away amidst harpsichord-like string plucks. From here we take in the bumping basslines and floating pad textures of 'When The Light Fades', which leads us nicely into 'Letting Go', an emotive expanse of distant vocal lines and sweeping synthesizer melody. It's the perfect round off to a top quality body of work.

Review: Following on from their recent appearance on the JunoDownload podcast, Bristol's Foundation Audio have continued to impress with what they do best, and that is supplying top quality dubstep drops. This latest selection from MRSHL is no exception, as we kick off with the glittering arpeggios and gritty sub structures of the title track 'You Know', followed by the gnarly wobbles and oldschool samples of 'Fuccboi'. Next up, we take a dip into the abstract as 'Lovesick' arrives with some seriously wonky melodies, before the colourful harmonic structures and eski-samples of 'In The Rain' round this one off nicely.

Review: It's been an excellent year of releases for the team at Encrypted Audio, who here continue their flavoursome run with a combined EP from Mrshl and Centauri, kicking off with Centauri's super experimental machine gun chomper in 'Invicta'. Next, Mrshl roles out for his solo addition with grimey synths and evil horns on 'Spastic Bells' followed by a jump into two back to back collaborations. First, the pair combine gritty dubstep flavours with colourful percussive influences on 'Grey', before finishing everything up with the stuttered drums and choppy bass stutters of 'Hallway Freakout', rounding off an impressive body of work.

Review: It's difficult to not look forward to seeing new music drop via the Subaltern platform, having such a potent back catalogue tends to have that effect after all. We here see them introduce the sounds of MRSHL to proceedings, who teams up with Grim Sickers for a very energetic grimey title track which goes by the name of 'The Crown'. This one comes complete with an instrumental version also which is titled '0-0-7', before we dive into the rest of the instrumental content on the EP. We hear the aquatic tones and in your face substructures of 'Death Dealer, the extremely moving harmonies of 'Endless Mirrors', also known as 'Harp Riddim', before finishing up on the trapstyle drum work of 'Concussion'.

Review: Now as far as compilations go, this without a doubt has to be one of our favourite dubstep selections of the year so far as Dank n Dirty unveil seventeen original creations, featuring high profile appearances from the likes of Aztek, Arta, Liquid Memoirs, Enigma Dubz and more. For us, this compilation showcases so much, from the emotional tones of 'Shaking & Withdrawn' from Legend4ry and the dubwise inspired arrangements of Otz's 'Moody Dub', to the super shuffling rhythms of 'Kashmir' from Khromi. For us, there are some real standouts to this one, the first of which comes from living dubstep legend: The Widdler, with his spacey, dub-infused original entitled 'THC'. As well as this, the potent collaboration between Roomate and Dokter named 'Overstanding' packs a serious punch.

Review: The team at Circle Vision have set out and made a serious statement with this one, as their 'Various Visions' series returns for It's second helping with four fresh originals from four of the coldest in the dubstep scene right about now. We begin with D-Operation Drop who lands a heavyweight punch in 'Fried Chicken' before man of the minute: Zygos appears with a percussive heavy piledriver in 'BAtte noir'. Next up, Hebbe arrives on the scene with a haunted episode of bitcrushed leads and floating subs on 'Sixes & Sevens', before Mrshi sees the EP out in style with his triplet-driven scorcher 'Biter'.

Review: Some people like to pose with a gang signs, we prefer throwing Bay Sines. Much more substance, more weight, more realness. Especially when Centauri is at the controls. Flexing his punctuated drumset and cascading tripletty melodic hooks and unnerving sense of unease, each cut rumbles hard. For added girth jump on the bubblesome original and remix from San Jose newcomer Mrshl. A new era begins.
