Review: "!Kollections" banner. Each focuses on a certain aspect of the long-running label's vast back catalogue. The fourth edition, for example, focused on disco. "Reflections", the latest volume, is not as tight stylistically and instead gathers together tracks that tend towards the deep, poignant, beautiful and melancholy. There are many treats amongst the 27 showcased selections, with highlights including an impeccable chunk of string-laden downtempo pop from DJ Tennis and Fink, a dreamy slice of loved-up house warmth from Lone, the bustling, dream house era Mediterranean holiday memories of Mugwump's "God is Gracious" and the thrusting, big room-friendly late night hypnotism of Dubfire's "Dust Devil".

Review: San Francisco's Nick Monaco brings his experiences within his hometown's nightlife culture into his own 'carefree, cosmic experimental pop sound', recently heard on his album Half Naked for Soul Clap's Crew Love label. Here he collaborates his fellow Crew Love alumnus David Marston from Kingston, Jamaica for the rather explicit "Pussy". Its risque lyrics are contrasted by an addictive modern synth-pop accompaniment with smooth arpeggios, soaring synth leads and rusty machine rhythms.

Review: Here's something rather special for fans of Wolf + Lamb - a collaborative single featuring new pal Nick Monaco (whose debut album, Mating Call, was released to much acclaimed back in September) and legendary Chicago vocalist Russoul. The later's honeyed delivery and vocal inflections help make "Festival Erotica" sound like a tech-house tribute to Prince's "Erotic City", a feeling emphasized by the undulating warmth of Monaco and Wolf + Lamb's production. Long time pals Soul Clap provide the obligatory remix, adding extra layers of touchy-feely atmosphere via twinkling pianos, sparser percussion, tactile chords and a superb bassline.

Review: Despite the pretty bling name, Nick Monaco's music suggests that he's more Dalston Basement than West End. The deep and hypnotic, vocal chant-houser "Private Practice" is a perfect teaser for forthcoming LP Mating Call, suggesting that this veteran of labels like Dirtybird and Soul Clap has perfected his own form of evocative house. There's also an unplugged (or "unclubbed") version included as well as jazzy deep disco number "I Can't Breathe Without You", which gets a tribal overall by Wolf + Lamb themselves.
