Review: The mysterious Nikus, whose music has previously appeared on DOBRO's numerous (and rather good) mixtape style compilations, is the latest producer to be handed a debut by label boss Iner. He sets his stall out with the ear-catching excellence of 'Frustland', where picturesque deep house synth sounds and melodic motifs ride a thickset dub disco groove, before opting for warm, wide eyed and morning-fresh vibes and the deeper and more loved up 'Chill'. Nikus's love of cascading, 16-bit synthesiser lead lines comes to the fore on tidy shuffler '2Day', which 'Try' is a sun-splashed blast of bass-heavy nu-disco/deep house fusion.
