Review: Beat down, beat up, beat this... 'Beat That', it's time for a brand new link up between Niterider and Chunky Bizzle as the pair lay down four solid bruisers on Eternal Muzic. The title track hits with a grizzling, big drill groove and a glistening guitar breakdown before we plunge into more and more twisted funk. The beautifully titled 'Bacon Interceptors' gets its wriggle on, 'Chupacabra' get the VIP twist while 'Sling It' ends the EP on a delicate-yet-bouncy vibe. You can beat it.

Review: Niterider coming in with the wholesome lifestyle advice and telling us all to treat ourselves to nice bit of self care. It starts right here with these powerful vibes that span the entire spectrum from the dubby horns and warm tones of 'Cultured' to the bubble jungle-style subs and ravey keys of 'Fire Burns'. Elsewhere we have treats like the gritty revving filth of 'Henry's Panto' the brilliantly titled (and ultra-funky) 'Watermelon Biscuits' and the total dark euphoria of the title track. Massive. Take care.

Invitation - (4:23) 175 BPM
Review: Niterider and Chunky Bizzle team up once again and dedicate an EP to your dear old lady... 'Battle Axe Warriors' pays homage to the veterans of the game with the bubbliest bassline this side of the Irn Bru factory. It's backed by plenty more dark matter murkery - 'Blessings' ping-pongs back and forth with mischief, 'Bed Rocking' does the hubba-hubba heave-ho with moments of emotional R&B sultriness while 'Too Attached' balances soft focus emotions with raw sandpaper funk. Finally 'Invitation' takes things future-style with its sleek, warped bassline twists. You coming or what?

Review: As if their walloping '5 Seconds' EP wasn't quite enough bangerage to keep us lively as we move into spring, along come Niterider and Chunky Bizzle with another epic hamper of heaviness. 'Pure Problems' hits with a decaying metallic harmonic bass and manipulated vox sample, setting the scene and parameters for the rest of the EP. Highlights include sweet skanks and disgusting drop of 'Rudeboi Selector' and the shimmy shimmy soul of the intro and breakdown of 'I Got It'. We got 99 problems but this EP ain't one.

Wheel It - (4:22) 175 BPM
Review: Heavyweight bruisers only: Niterider and Chunky Bizzle collide for four disgusting tear-ups on Eternal Muzic. '5 Seconds' takes the lead with a Belgian style high frequency question and a guttural, swampy answer style riff. Pure dark funk, it's in good company: 'Murder Charge' brings a little system-shaking heat with its short flexing reggae vocal and epic wobbly subs, 'One More Time' is a real rasping, aggy cut that's not dissimilar to the jump-up sounds of the early 2000s before 'Wheel It' shuts down the EP on a totally scatty one. Off the wall flavours.

Wet Rizzla - (4:23) 175 BPM
Sociopath - (4:23) 175 BPM Hot
Review: Beats to polish those pearly whites to; Niteride chomps down with another fresh set to sign out 2021. 'Toothless' is built around a brilliantly absurd spoken sample, a gutter-slurping bassline and a dreamy breakdown. Elsewhere 'Dance Program' gets all trippy with the foggy bass groans and interesting harmonics before 'Wet Rizzla' soundtracks everyone's worst nightmare... A soggy last paper! Finally 'Sociopath' shuts down the EP with an eruption of finger clicks, sheet metal harmonies and more switches than a power station. Grin when you're winning.

Big Facts - (4:23) 175 BPM
Review: Sup sup! Niterider's back on Eternal Muzic and he's pouring direct into the chalices for us all to drink direct. The title track calls out the green fingered massive with its big bass elements before we get deeper and heavier; 'The Void' is a powerfully bendy and warped cut that's the sonic equivalent of drinking a pint of undiluted squash, 'Ethos' is like drinking neat gin when thought it was water... Fiery and powerful enough to change the whole course of your day. Finally 'Big Facts' goes straight to the head like an ice cold coke guzzled too quickly on a very hot day. Fizzy, refreshing, ready for action.

Review: Boosting the subs in Sub-liminal each and every time, Agro's label continues to celebrate the big one-oh-oh with another selection from the very forefront of D&B's future. With the dynamite pairing of Shayper and Amplify setting the scene with 'I Got You', we then hurtle down the rabbit hole with the likes of Guzi's gutter-butting sweeper 'Kushty', the spaced-out wobbles of Prestige's 'Never Wrong', the absolute nuttiness of Niterider's 'Catch Feelings' and Rowney's skank-out 'Yard Ting'. And that's just the tip of this third and final 100th release iceberg. Here's to 100 more releases!

Review: Agro's Sub-liminal deliver the second part of their on-going 100th release celebration series with another incredible tear-up from a whole range of the label's friends and family members. Wall melters and head-poppers fly from every angle right here as every artist brings their roughest and toughest sounds. Highlights include Jack The Ripper's amen-rattling 'Draw', the tension and high voltage textures of Yatuza & Safra's 'The Cabin', RV's mid 2000s Playaz style jump-up on 'Avenge Your Master' and Leaf's horror movie intensity on 'Kill'em'. Happy 100th Sub-liminal. Bring on the third part!

Review: Who's this zooming round the corner? It's Manchester's Niterider, here to cruise upside your selections and collections with a range of ridiculously addictive work-outs. 'Henry's Finest' starts the journey with a fun and sludgy bassline that's kinda reminiscent of Moving Fusion when they could no wrong. Elsewhere 'My Deliveries' is a game of quirky, riffy harmonics, 'Kracken' roars with trippy bass textures, while 'Family Ties' is so disgusting it will have you ringing up all your siblings and telling them to wheel up the bloodclart. Last but not least 'You Asked' closes the EP with a big old burp of a foghorn damage. Top gear.

Review: Sub-Division continues pushing the new generation of artists and sounds with this epic VA album featuring a whole load of hybrids and fusions from a barrage of exciting new talent. Highlights are left, right and centre but essential picks include Guzi's twisted flip on the stepper sound with the grizzly 'Continuum', Sinexia's savage, stripped-back 'HND' and a whole range of cuts from the fast-rising Shayper including the rifle-like war talk of 'Keep In Line' (with Amplify) Elsewhere pure futurism drips off every dark nook and crannie of Guzi & Woolf's 'Intimidate', Niterider & Warhead's 'No Way In' is a raw, unkempt slab of rolling grot and Herby's 'Next Stop' is the sonic equivalent of a swarm of hornets - and its buzzing around in your brain. This is just the tip of the 'Partitions' iceberg... Dig deep and find many more highlights yourself.

Review: Reload and come again: our 'Juno Download Selects' edition with the mighty US dnb HQ Liondub International continues for another session. Once again featuring an A-list rollcall of now household names, it's another reminder of how much heat Liondub International have cooked up over the years, supporting artists from their earliest moves. Highlights on this set include the turbo slammage and necksnap switches on Jayline's 'Anglo Saxxon', early hurly burly from the man like Macky on 'Black Widow' and the always-devilish bubbles of Motiv's 'Vultures'. And that's just three of 15 crucial example's of Liondub International future-focused benchmark. Get to know!

Review: Buckle-up rudeboy, two of Manny's finest link-up for this blazing six-shooter. 'The Real Don' by name, total Gs by nature; Niterider's stripped-back bumps and thumps are the perfect playground for Madrush who's on major dancehall battle cry mode across the EP. Highlights include the riot bassline and throaty overtones of 'Don Gorgon', the swaggering heat of 'Go Mad' and the softer, contemplative sci-fi finale 'Sleeping Pattern'. Dons get it twisted.

Working with the likes of Liondub International's highly coveted Street Series, Murky Digital and Raw Motion, he now lands on Eternal with this very generous six-tracker. Highlights include the immense swagger and toxic bass tones on "Hunt Season", the big flabby organs and party vibes of the excellently titled track "The Giggle Bush" and the precision steps and purring subs of the finale "Deliveries". Review: Northern scene legend Adam Wigglesworth sadly passed away on April 3. This is how his friends responded... By compiling one of the biggest tribute albums drum & bass has ever seen. Just look at the amount of talent on here: Pyxis, Euphonique, Nvrsoft, No Concept, Exile, Euphonique, Dawn Raid and so many more artists have contribute to this 45 track album of which all proceeds go to Adam's family. From the blazing bass riff of Sappo's late 90s style neck snapper "Hannibal" to Exile's turbine bass growler "Symbiosis" via Sl8r's jazzy, almost Detroit style vibes on "The Mill" and various bits from Wiggo himself, this is a heartfelt salute from the entire scene to a man who'll be sorely missed.

Review: Liondub's renowned Street Series continues in full force and this next instalment is courtesy of Niterider, a producer who got his name making bangers and who comes with some serious heat on this one. All five of these cuts mean business and our favourites are the steppy bits, 'Illegal Op' especially, which combines apocalyptic vibes with urban sonics to create a powerful patchwork of force and energy, all underpinned by a broken percussive line. The other five are also strong and we're definitely looking forward to hearing these out and about.

Review: Drawing upon the influences of historical jungle and recent trend, Niterider is on Raw Motion for a full-throated four-tracker that kicks off with title track 'Give A Signal', a gently weighted wobbler that pushes on every corner of the range. 'Crushed Cigars' and 'Double Cup' have clear Kings of the Rollers vibes, with juddering bass pulses and that recognizable sense of hardware-based rawness. This release has overtones of Manchester and undertones of the South - proper UK underground stuff that's wickedly produced with a clearly keen ear for the sound of the moment.

Meladee - "Connoisseur" - (4:23) 175 BPM Hot
Review: Niterider, Saxxon and more are landing on Murky Digital with the Wolf Man EP and, as you can probably tell from the name of the label it's coming out on, it's a seriously murky bit of work. This is obvious from the first tune, a BassBrothers remix of Leaf's 'Dup Up The Dance', which expands hugely down into the back end with penetrating force, swaying and moving as it goes. The rest of the release is powered by the same relentlessness and 'Long Haul'' carries an expansive back end that undergirds a sequence of menacing sampling, whilst 'Audible' possibly has the most creative bassline on the release in a wicked display of dancefloor heat. Sick stuff.

Review: One of the regular labels we feature are Sub-Division, a wicked little imprint that puts out a diverse sound ranging from techy rollers to jump-up steppers and even liquidy numbers. This week they've arrived with an EP from Niterider, who, across five tracks, spans various tones and styles, all of them rooted in a sense of dancefloor aggressiveness and all of them top-notch. 'Kush Puppy' is a highlight, its rolling percussive line isn't the paciest but is loping and satisfying, whilst a gargling bass and sweeping reeces sit just above and inject all the force. Top stuff.

Review: Niterider is landing on Murky Digital with his Dub Elevator EP and, as you can probably tell from the name of the label it's coming out on, it's a seriously murky bit of work. You wouldn't think that from the start of the title track though, which leads you in with a luscious bit of elevator music but that quickly devolves into a pummelling expression of force. The rest of the release is powered by the same relentlessness and 'Killa's' carries an expansive back end that undergirds a sequence of menacing hip-hop sampling, whilst 'The Wob' possibly has the most creative bassline on the release in a wicked display of dancefloor heat. Review: Are you a party person? Then Niterider needs you! Coming on strong with his first full EP for the young Canadian label Lickwood & Gunshot, it's nothing but five tracks of pure stinkage tailored for your naughtiest night time antics. From the twisted, bounce-blasted title track right through to the creepy textures and elasticated bass of the finale "Mirage", Niterider rips up the dance in cruise control. Other highlights include the warped bass weirdness of "It's Mine" and the rattling breaks of pure croaky bass ripples of "Straight Laced". Party people your dream has been fulfilled.

Review: Manchester is fizzing with new-gen bassmiths right about now, and Niterider is leading from the front. Joining him on his first Cre8 EP is fellow Manny mandem Bou who kicks off with the wild reggae fusion on "Tumble Weed", elsewhere we see the 'Rider get mean with a waspy Q&A on "Fame" then pure savage with the rattling techy jumpy hybrid "The Niterider". Finally we head south to Kettering for a grimey alien shockout with Meladee. Watch the ride.

Shout Out - (4:23) 175 BPM
Review: No hassles here: Niterider speeds up for his latest drive by bassline shootout and, once again, there's blood everywhere. "The Style" leaves skidmarks with its frazzled high voltage bass and classic Aphrodite style hip-hop vocals, "Yard Music" writhes all snake like with a more restrained bassline and well oiled rolling drums (think Xtrah with a touch of T>I) while "Jungle Weed" injects a little skank motion and barking bass into the pot. Finally "Shout Out" strips the vibe back to a slinky bassline, rolling percussion, a classic baby momma saluting vocal sample and sudden splashes of synth vibrancy. Stylish.

Review: The start of 'After 8' is it's insane percussion, a wide collection different sound and even a hit of Big Ben's bell, the breaks and broken and fast and it's an ode to the ghost of drums past with modern metalic stabbing layered on top, it's sinister to say the least. Starting life as a dancehall slowjam 'Champagne Problem' has got you in the mood to dance from the get go, soulful piano chords and muffled vocals give you no warning of the crazy, crossover bass which is about to cause a riot. 'Dwag's Day' has a distinctly hiphop undertone, apart from the vocal the piano pattens remind us of old Tupac beats. 'Lost in Space' is a grinding industrial onslaught of sound, it's one for the harder heads, the vox is quite morbid. 'Rubber Band Man' is our highlight of the release it has a hazy, dreamy soundscape, twisted sharp metallics and a killer pulsating sub.

Review: Home is where the heat is: G13 rally up troops old and new for a straight up sesh of UK heaviness. Co-boss Rowney takes the lead with the savage "Still On It", setting the scene for the new breed to smash down. Bou, Leaf & Dutta go all jazzy and harmonic on "Waterfall", Niterider gets all low-swung and switchy with "Fire Emoji", Jammin brings the mystic pressure with "Marijuana", Salvage gets classic with the cymbal-crashing, bass-mashing grunter "Don't Stop" while newblood Tringy finishes on the spooked-out wobbler "Poltergeist". Stinking.

Label bossmen Rowney & Propz start the engine and set the route planner with a classic rave vocal romp "Gotta Have You" before we take scenic slaps from Konker (the stuttering, smoke-homage "Peer Pressure"), Complex (the swinging, gurgling harmonic bass bumper "Panik People"), Niterider (the MC-led leng-snapper "When Leng Was Draw") Saxxon (rolling V-style timeless vibes with "On Up") and Rawtee (the super-bounce jam "Frogs Legs").
