Review: Twenty-five years is a long time in any field. In the fast-moving world of electronic music, it's practically an eternity. That Turbo has managed not just to last that long but also to remain fresh says a lot about Tiga's immaculate A&Ring. On Turbo 25, we see the form this takes. There's "You So Pretty", his cheeky electro collaboration with long-time Turbo collaborator Jori Hulkkonen. Audion and Seth Troxler also celebrate the landmark anniversary with the searing techno of "Hate", while The Hacker goes down the industrial route with the slamming "Forcefield". Tiga continues to flirt with pop with the Soulwax edit of "Woke". However, the fact that he has commissioned Gesloten Cirkel of Murder Capital fame to rework "Easy" means he remains as connected as ever with techno and electro's underground. Here's to the next quarter century.

Review: Sasha brings us collection of tracks that have featured in his Spotify playlist series of the same name, which is oriented towards midtempo, contemplative but still beats-driven cuts spanning breaks, ambient and leftfield electronica. While much is being made of this "new direction", a more cynical observer might say it's the first CD of 'Northern Exposure' plus drums; all the same, there's much to enjoy here if you're in a laidback kinda mood, with standouts including MJ Cole's haunting, fractured 'Maestro' and Cortese's 'Circles' with its air of restrained menace. The album also includes two fresh cuts from The Man Like himself, 'Corner Shop' and recent single 'HDNI'.

Review: This is the first in a three-part compilation series on Bpitch, named after Ellen Allien's party. This volume is an uncompromising collection that takes influence from 90s styles: Allien herself drops the buzzsaw, Heckmann-style "XTC", while Lady Starlight's mesmerising, acid-soaked "Re-15" occupies similar territory. On "Force Majeure" Introversion channels the energy of early Drumcode for a bombastic, drum-heavy workout and Nocow's "Let Em Fall" sounds like man update on DBX's minimalism, with a pared back, jacking rhythm paired with time-stretched vocal samples. Bpitch also deserves kudos for showcasing original techno innovators, and the he compilation includes DJ T-1000's pile-driving "Frequency Kill".

Review: Saint Petersburg-based producer Aleksei Nikitin aka Nocow debuted on Rekids - the estemmed imprint run by Matt Edwards - last year with his impressive Samaya Dolgaya Noch EP, and has previously released on labels like Clone Royal Oak, Figure and Fauxpas Musik. His new offering Atoner will be his eighth full length and is a vibrant body of work which spans everything from hypnotic techno, smack electro, ambient and the zeitgeist of early 90s rave as well as raw house jams.

Review: Few producers have been on quite as intensive a journey as Alexey "Nocow" Nikitin over the last five years. His prolific output contains all manner of weird and wonderful treats, with releases touching on wonky dubstep, experimental electronics, frazzled bass music and, more recently, throbbing techno. On the Letit EP, which marks his debut for Clone's ever-reliable Royal Oak offshoot, the Russian producer delivers a quartet of bubbling, melodious, analogue-rich deep house workouts. All four tracks are hugely entertaining, positive and quietly boisterous, with the tracky, slightly tribal "Wrong Silence" and glacial, off-kilter "I Don't Really Wanna Lose You" being our picks of a satisfyingly strong bunch.

Review: Hailing from St Petersburg, Nocow provides the first instalment in local collective Roots United's label venture. Drawing on established house and techno tropes - in particular, "Solstice" is a wonderfully deep Detroit-style jam - but adding his own flavour, Zathdax shows that Nocow is becoming an extremely distinctive artist. The title track is an incessant, acid-soaked jack track, embellished by the use of a human beatbox. At the other end of the spectrum, there's "There Is No Problem I Can't Fix", a deep, rolling house groove, characterised by mystical synths and hollowed out drums, while the slap bass of "Round Dax" and the low-slung groove of "Ayenward" proves again that Nocow follows an unusual approach to production.

Review: Steeped in the tropes of the Burial fallout, Nocow sports his influences with pride as he delivers the second release for Infinite Machine. Steady breakstep beats with an earthy quality drown serenely in a dense vat of pad on EP opener "The Man Behind The Suit", while forlorn RnB vocal licks loop around harmoniously throughout. The trick is repeated in a similar fashion on "I Just Want You (To Know)", albeit with slightly less morose end results, while "Like Apart" and "I Told You" change tact with a driving 4/4 undercurrent upon which the pensive sonic decoration travels.
