Review: Time for a little Norwegian soul as Nostre returns to Soul Deep following this springs debut release (with Fearbace) Now fronting his own four-tracker, he's showing us a much deeper and wider range of his palette. The title track looks to the stars for guidance as they twinkle and shimmer between the soulful vocal and punctuated beats, "Stay" is more of a sultry stepper with hazy reverse textures and aesthetics creating a woozy momentum and "Beat" is more of a darker piece of work with a foreboding bassline grumbling beneath the soulful dreamy elements. Finally "The Two Of Us" brings us to a close with an Etherwood style naked piano line and a sub-loaded drop that's anchored with just the right amount of bassweight. On point.
