Review: At just a year old Reload is a baby every sense of the word, but if this release is anything to go by it won't be long before this Leeds based imprint are playing with the big boys. This extra long EP from High Impact & Objective is eclectic and balanced we've certainly got our eyes peeled. 'Cat Inna Bag' is a nostalgic, happy mix of old Zinc and Shy FX, it had us reaching for our good old Jungle Massive compilation. 'TG's On A Friday' flips the script completely, bringing us into deep, windy tech soundscape. 'Photoshoot' merging crisp breaks with tap glass and a squidgy blobs of sub. 'Blu' is our favourite track of the EP bringing the heartfelt liquid vibes, with rolling breaks, a sparkling piano, and dreamy sci-fi lasers. 'Grandma's Funk' is the only collaborative track on the release and, it's sharp and quick with organic musical drums, guitars and clicks, so much fun to be had with this one. 'Bean Spillage' is a delicate roller with gritty, industrial scrapes but an eerie sense of psychotic calm. 'Haunted' finishes us off with a mutated half-time beat.
Review: Wobble Infectious Digital is a jump up label based in Antwerp, you can hear it's Belgian influence in the tracks which very much cherry pick elements form the full dnb spectrum to create something of a superior quality. Here we have a killer collection of collaborations which delve into the deeper, darker side of the dancefloor style. 'Garon' sets the president for the calibre of the EP, a glitchy shuffling break makes the body of the track which is fleshed out with a pulsating wobble the dirtiest of floors can get down too. 'Rickity Wrekt' is packed with metalic clashes and broken beeps but the stand out section is the bubbling low end. 'Wait Till' warns you of the long, almost vertical drop with its wild horn, akin to a run away ghost train, with understated jungle samples and pounding sub this one is a banger. 'Drop Top' mixes a slow, hip hop break with freaky sci-fi elements, and a deafeningly high pitch.
