Review: Christian Prommer's Musica Autonomica label deserves kudos for championing Odd Only. On "Solow" the upcoming act shows that when it comes to hypnotic, immersive house music, they have already a highly developed, distinctive style. On the title track, this ability manifests itself in the form of a layered, tranced out arrangement that breaks and then builds again into a driving, acid-tinged affair. Sasse's version of "Solow" is just as unusual; the Mood Music boss drops a squelchy bass as a backdrop for spaced out synths that move in and out of the arrangement seemingly at random. It makes for one of the most distinctive house records of 2018.
