Review: As always with the Duploc team, a compilation drop means nothing but carnage as they this time unveil the fourth full edition of their 'BLXCK TXPES' series. Whenever one of these compilations drops, we rush to the tracklisting to see what heavyweight names will be joining us, with the standouts from this latest edition immediately looking like 11th Hour, Hebbe, Oddkut, Infekt & Leo Cap to name a few, all providing system-crunching originals that pack one hell of a punch. Alongside this, RWB unloads a uniquely skippy stomper in 'Amunjica', next to the grizzly synths of Nahliths' 'Shroud', The wizzy LFO slides of Mikrodot's 'Sun God' and of course the vocal heavy stamps of Merricat Black's killer closer in 'Tricky Bizzness'. What a collection this is!
Review: Oddkut has arrived alongside a bag of dynamite for this latest four pack as he joins forces with the team at Black Teeth to unveil a box of serious dubstep flavour, as ever, in a typically unique style. We begin with 'Chase'n'Drums', a bumpy groove through electronic synthetic squiggles and vibrant drum pumps, with the more system-sounding sub sweats and gnarly curls of 'Of Course U Can' then following in close pursuit. From here, Outselect joins the party on 'My Lazer', a more abstract take on 140 as we see skippy percussive manoeuvres play a major role in a truly abstract soundscape, following by the growling reese bites and more breaks-driven drumlines of 'Wheel Up'. Awesome work.
Review: The Bass372 crew have unleashed a box of monsters with this exciting new collection, featuring some of the most potent dubstep producers currently working in today's scene. We open up the event with Q100, who delivers a subterranean onslaught with the dippy basslines and crunchy percussive squelches of 'Scoville', followed by Ninety who arrives with a sumptuous punch of dubwise heat on 'One-Eyed Mask'. From here, Q100 & PTF1987 welcome Bisweed inside on an official remix for 'Narva', a floaty, post-grime sweep through ethereal harmonics and harsh horn stabs, before the warbling sub triplets of 'X-RAY' are unveiled for a final slap of low-ended goodness from Oddkut. What a collection this is
Review: The Duploc crew have always had a real ability to pull together an impressive compilation project. This latest selection sees a bag of VIP mixes being brought into the fold, with the likes of SBK, Ternion Sound, JSM, Oddkut, ENiGMA Dubz and more all unleashing some heavyweight reworks of previously released heaters. In typical Duploc style, the whole project is absolutely teething with hard hitting basslines, with 11th Hour's 'Immortals' overhaul being an immediate jump out, with this creeping melodic drifts and stripped back drum work to match. We are also a big fan of Woven Thorns' 'Hidden Blade' rework, which again slaps you in the face with some hellish melodic manoeuvres, alongside the full VIP mix of 'Harpy' from Ourman, who turns an already impressive original into something even more magnificent with some unique melodic design and stuttering percussion to match. Excellent work once again!

Review: What a year it has been for the Duploc team, who have continued to strive to push the 140 scene further than ever-before. As always, they have come together to unleash their full 2021 catalogue in one singular monumental drop, unleashing 40 system-smashers for us to enjoy over the Christmas period. Featuring a heavyweight catalogue, we get to explore releases from the likes of Dalek One, ENiGMA Dubz, Tappa, Hebbe, Ternion Sound, Oddkut, Juss B, Distance, Mungk and more. It really is a testament to how strong their movement has become when you look at the strength behind this year's catalogue, with the overarching theme of every contained release being perfect for a system-backed shell out. Awesome work and the perfect closer to the year!
Review: As always it would seem with DUPLOC, we are once again for a treat as they deliver yet another killer dubstep selection, this time welcoming Oddkut into the fold for three trackers of steppers delight. We begin with the title track 'Loud', a raucous ride through twisted metallic synthesizer slides and precise vocal execution from Griz-O, giving us a high octane introduction to the EP. Next up, we move into more synthetic madness as 'Deposition' combines swampy melodies with gnarly bass grinds for another sonic masterclass, before the EP rounds off with the more stipped back drum rolls and subtle bass inflection of 'Hiding Rage', closing things out in style.
Review: There's no doubting that N-Type's Wheel & Deal imprint is one of the most important labels across the various realms of the dubstep sound, with this wonky new two-tracker from Oddkut & Ninety proving precisely why. We begin with 'Gundalo', one of the gnarliest rollers we've heard in a hot minute, combining light, high ended percussive designs with chunky drum work below. Next, 'Earthquake' takes us down a much moodier avenue, this time stitching together an array of dubwise percussive delays with a downright dingey bassline below adding a whole different dimension to the release as a whole. Awesome work!
Review: Whenever we see the Wheel & Deal logo appear in the store we do tend to jump for joy here at Juno Download, with N-Type's now veteran imprint very rarely managing to disappoint. This latest three track display from Oddkut is a perfect example of just how good their discography is, with 'Wonderland' proving to be a very worthy title track, jam packed with hypnotic melodic twists and stuttered key leads. Following this we take it old school as the rowdy LFO textures and heavily syncopated drum rhythms of 'The T-H' gives us a punch of old school energy, before the unpredictable synth flutters and shaker-heavy grooves of 'Nem Fudendo' rounds us off with some serious finesse.
Review: Over the years, there are genuinely very few labels that have been able to amass as impressive a catalogue as Project Allout, a label that continue to unleash bass and grime music at the highest level as me move into 2020. This latest compilation release takes the title 'Keep It PAR, Volume 2', and is a terrific showcase of the different styles on offer within the imprint, including music from PAR allstars such as Dubzta, Moony, Dutty Tingz, Daze Prism, JT, Killjoy, Palize and more. For us, there are two clear highlights, with the super groovy twists of 'Baby Boy' from Venz being the first, followed by the smooth garage flavours of 'I Dont Know' from Lushen.
Review: Hatched are back and better than ever as Oddkut and Distant Roots join forces for an absolutely storming set of dubstep originals. We kick off with the vibrant yet dangerous creations of Distant Roots as the electrifying synthesizer slaps of 'Fi Dead' kicks us off with a bang, followed quickly by the much more sub-driven percussive brilliance of 'Aliens Dub'. Finally, the pair combine in infinite majesty as the super unusual, warbling tones of 'Culchah' combines wonky drums and swampy subs to finish this one up with a memorable impact.
Review: It appears that Skillzy's now infamous PAR label is at it again, gathering and arranging an absolutely monstrous compilation here, featuring heavyweight riddims from some of the coldest names currently working across the grime and bass sphere. We see exciting returns for label favourites such as Juzlo, Dubzta, Daze Prism, Killjoy and more, who have all previously featured heavily on PAR. This compilation offers something for everyone, from the sharpened, evil grime chops of Garna's 'Peroni', to the UKG prowess and skippy rhythmic bliss of 'Kobe JT's most recent PAR appearance with 'Selecta'.
Review: As one of the grime and bass scene's standout label projects over the last 5 years, Project Allout have conquered much, constantly alternating between grime, dubstep, bass and garage, all with a real touch of finesse. This latest compilation sees the gang assemble in force as the likes of Sammy Virji, Killjoy, Palize, Deadbeat UK, Daze Prism and more heavyweight names bring their heat to the table. For us the standout tracks have to be Dunman's grimey roller in 'Chip On The Block' and of course Moony's amazonian funky ride out on 'M', a subby mover, designed to take the dance real low.
