Review: Oh gosh! Every Welcome To The Jungle collection is a big deal but this latest edition from Euphonique and Dazee is a whole other rain forest. 96 tracks and a mix that weighs in over two hours, this is the sound of two of the most foremost and inspiring Bristol-based DJs going IN in every single direction. Loaded with a great range of classics, exclusives and left-of-centre vibes, highlights across this massive collection include Aries and Euphonique's massive 'Amen', Dazee & Jinx's 'Shake It Up', Sweetpea and Chickaboo's 'The Jump Off' and the recent skat-dancing fire-up 'Skip De Du Dat'. And that's not scratching the surface. This is an epic collection. Essential.
Review: DJ Hybrid's Audio Addict camp take stock and look back over another exceptional year of big dancefloor weapons and fully charged skank-ups. All the vibes and styles are intact over this 20-strong collection as we're reminded just how many bangers the label has been responsible for in 2023. Highlights include Klimate's scorching groaner 'Check', Nooch & Oram's stripped-back slap-attack 'Funky Streets', Burt Cope's horn-heaving wobbler 'Saxy Dub' and AJ Mutated and Jeopardize's vicious banger 'Rule 34'. What a year, what a collection... Addictions don't get much more wholesome than this!
Review: DJ Hybrid's Audio Addict look back over another diverse and exciting year with this excellent 'Reloaded' VA that cherry picks 25 of the many highs throughout 2022. All flavours, all styles, all energies, expect the full spectrum here from Ozone's alien squelching 'OG' to menacing, minimal finger clickers like Jam Thieves' 'Outbreak' to dreamier, emotional switch flippers like Klimate's 'Through My Eyes'. Riddled with pristine bangers from the likes of Vital, Prestige, Posk, Joely, Exile and many more, this is a great snapshot of a very successful year for DJ Hybrid's label.
Review: Blinded by the lights! Rising new talent Odyssy raids the herbs cabinet for a flavoursome tear-up on Audio Addict. Linking with Manny monster Diligent Fingers for the title track, we're off to a flying start. Elsewhere 'Lockarf' brings the heat with a rumpy pumpy bassline, 'Shut Us Down' goes full on classic rave business while 'Come Back' comes with the roughness, all big swaggering drums and gurgling basslines.
