Review: Five label debutants, most previously unheard newcomers, get their chance to shine on the 17th instalment of W&O Street Tracks' 'Imprint' series of compilation style EPs. K&K kicks thing off in fine fashion via the excitable, warehouse-ready madness of 'Blow', where deeply pshcyedelic acid lines and fizzing, rave-style stabs dance atop a sweaty and jacking drum track, before ELZCAZE opts for a more intergalactic sounding slab of '90s nostalgia on 'Xstacy'. ProOne 79 recalls the sleazier, darker end of late '80s hip-house on the sleazy and acidic 'Spicy (Vocal Mix)', while Sopp's 'Make Me Feel (Don't Hurt Me)' is a stomping slab of piano-driven rave revivalism and Ollie Red's 'My Love Appears' is a rubbery, tech-tinged peak-time delight.
