Review: The eighth instalment in Ballpark Recordings' Called Up series is here and it's spooky as all hell, with a real attempt by Opius & Skru to scare the hell out of you with eerie sampling, torn sound design and fast, furious breaks that know no sense of restraint. Skru's VIP of 'Insane World' by Opius is exactly this, with a foreboding sense of ambience akin to the start of a horror movie, which descends down the stairway into the cellar to find a wall of drum hits and siren-like screeches. Opius is back on the original in the next one with 'Notice Served' and it's an even more devilish display of haunting production. Unbelivable.
