Review: Norway's forward thinking trance star Orjan Nilsen continues his prolific year with a return to the iconic Amrind. 'PhireWorX' is slightly different to his last few releases, an out and out party tune of which the power comes from simplicity. A massive hooky lead line takes centre stage and holds the attention throughout, while solid beats and shimmering effects build up alongside. It's a fusion of house, techno, and trance, all put together in the freshest fashion. No remixes needed on this one, as the Original can't get any better!
Review: Norway's Orjan Nilsen is one of the most forward thinking and innovative producers around right now, and for his latest on Armada leading imprint Armind, he once again impresses. Lead track 'Lucky Strike' is the standout from the two, with an instantly memorable synth line that will tear the roof off any club you unleash it on. On the flip is the more melodic 'Legions', which showcases his crystal clear production and immense musicality. Two killer tracks that will inject a refreshing dynamic to uplifting sets, and hold the attention of every ear in the room.
Review: Norwegian's leading electronic producer Orjan Nilsen returns to Armind with another EP of genre hopping epicness, that stands out a million miles from anything else out there right now. Its no surprise why this guy is one of Armin's hottest tipped names, with lead track 'Viking' thrashing down tech trance flavours with housey elements and more twist and turns than a white knuckle rollercoaster. 'Acthool' on the flip is a little lighter, albeit with plenty of mainstay to rock any floor.. If you heard any of the Armada or Top100 DJ sets out at ADE, you will know doubt have lost your mind to these... Snap them up now!!
Review: Once again Norway's Orjan Nilsen rips up the rule book, for his latest outing on Armins' Armind label. 'Endymion' is a high octane mix and blend of trance, electro, and techno.. Throwing standout elements of each genre into his musical blender and the results are seriously destructive. The razor sharp shuffling beats, are backed up by a gritting and growling bassline, while the synth stabs gradually build and transcend into a more uplifting breakdown. Never one to let the dance-floors stand still, he twists and turns relentlessly throughout.. Check this out, it's the sound of the future!!
Review: Norway's finest Orjan Nilsen continues to push the boundaries of electronic music, hot on the heels of his monstrous remix for the ASOT 600 anthem. He is back to his old tricks of mashing genres and influences from all corners. 'No Saint Out of Me' is as forward thinking as you can get (even by his standards), with a darker twist yet still bringing the vibe up with a big melody in the break and teasing throughout. These two contrasting elements working harmoniously with the progressive bass and beats. The production level is as on point as always and it's delivery on the floors will be destructive.
