We Will Not All Fall
Review: Moral Standards is a new offshoot label from Falling Ethics, the techno outlet established in 2013 by P.E.A.R.L.. Unsurprisingly, the maiden voyage is by its founder, who delivers an unforgettable four-tracker. On "No Fall Damage Part 1", the Spanish producer fuses atmospheric synths with pounding kick to create a dreamy but bruising track. The second instalment of "No Fall.." sees him strip away the melodies, leaving a pounding tribal track, while the release also features two versions of the title track. There's Matrixxman's jacking, metallic take, while the Blue Hour version deploys frenetic break beats and building acid tones to devastating effect.

Evidence Based Vol 9
Various
Review: Triple Vision pull out all the stops on the ninth Evidence Based edition. Tin Man's expansive 303 sound is to the fore on the aptly-named "Acid Swirls", while representing a more sombre, subdued style is Oscar Mulero's broken beat remake of End Train's "Into The Sun's Maze". Deadbeat drops a high-paced minimal techno groove in the shape of "7th and 33rd", while Triple Vision scores a coup by securing the services of Steve Bicknell - the Lost founder's contribution is the suitably textured and otherworldly "Constant Movement". He's not the only high-profile name to line out for this edition and I Hate Models delivers the rattling, glitchy techno of "Beloved & Damned".

Temptation Through Impatience
Review: P.E.A.R.L. is one half of Agony Forces, but in recent years, this side project has taken precedence. The Spanish producer now moves things up a gear with this debut long player; inspired by the Birmingham school of techno in both the title and the approach, it alternates between the relentless panel beating rhythm of "Impatience" and slower, gnarly jams like "Rules of Behavior". Irrespective of the tempo, Temptation is a bleakly intense affair, but there is also no doubting P.E.A.R.L's ability to craft killer techno. This is audible on the hard-edged percussive "Despair" or "Speculum", where the author drops the kind of acrid, gnarly groove that Regis is renowned for.

Hands Of Glory Remixed
Review: One half of Spanish heavy hitters Agony Forces, P.E.A.R.L. has been pushing his Falling Ethics label hard of late with a bevy of uncompromising techno bangers. With three releases on the label last year, and one this year, he hands the sounds of his label over to three remixers to rework last year's Hands Of Glory release. Modularz man and recent Pole Group debutant Tensal crafts a booming sequence of concrete-ready techno in his remix of "HOG I" while Jealous God affiliate Phase Fatale adds some serious punkish squiggle to his demonic mix of "HOG II". And for some broken beat, British Murder Boys-styled abrasion, the Stave duo slam down upon "HOG III".
