Review: Palmer Eldritch is a Polish duo active since 2001, known for its dynamic live shows combining alternative/psychedelic rock, shoegaze, krautrock, ambient and techno. Its 7th album, 'The Empire Never Ended' will be out this Autumn via FASRAT - meanwhile here's a single remixed by some of the most interesting producers from Polish electronic underground. The original of 'GABA' is a short, fast, playful number, combining punky bassline with some tribal percussion over a steady beat. Penera, fresh after their massive 'Sportsitze' EP, deliver their trademark fusion of electroid beats, booming bass and acid bubbling, with some infectious voice samples on top. TAMTEN on the other hand, drops the tempo to come up with a dark, dubby, menacing chugger. Finally, label boss Maciek Sienkiewicz presents an extended edit - a bit of a trancey vibe with dramatic strings and more moderate tempo rolling for a full 8 minutes.
