Review: The Outhouse Sounds selectors have given us quite the treat with this moody clash selection, seeing Panix go up against DJ Snowy Buffer for a fiery spin through futuristic garage themes and powerful sub textures. Both of these themes are shown off pristinely with the introduction of 'Premium Dubz', the first outing from Panix on solo duty, before the more niche-inspired synthesiser sizzles and syncopated chord progressions of 'Hefty' take us down a slightly more bouncy direction. From here, DJ Snowy Buffet then delivers a sub-heavy powerhouse in 'Can I Tell', fusing euphoric synthesiser chord movements with heavily affected vocal chops, before unleashing a dubwise delight in 'Club Life', giving us a low-ended weapon to see off the project with a slap!

Review: Next up from the team over at DMWSOUND, we see them get real busy, unveiling the first edition of their brand new compilation series 'Dmwsound Presents'. This selection is a fantastic pinpointer to where dubstep currently sits as a whole in 2021. The spectrum for this one covers a super wide range, with the likes of Panix firstly supplying the system ready goods on 'Peppermint', followed by the old school LFO action of 'Overthrow' from Ranking Dan and the spicy subs of Teffa's 'The Chase'. From here we dive into a much more minimal display from Inner Echo on 'Nuff Dollars', before Breez displays some tectonic plate-shifting sub horn punches on 'BrassGas' and Tik&Borrow deliver a creeping roller by the name of 'Microbeam'. Finally, Bisweed's 'Directions' sits ready to put the subs through their paces, before rounding off on 'Angel Dust', a slower explosion of rhythmic perfection from Tribal Dubs. What a collection this is!

Review: More dubstep goodness up next from the Low End Music team as they deliver us this top-quality new two-tracker from Panix, a producer whose sound seems to just keep getting better and better. We begin our look through this one with 'Tonic' a dubwise-style march of a riddim, linking up clinking percussive designs with spacey delays for a pretty hypnotic experience. On the flip to this, we see 'Vibration' take us down a slightly different avenue, focussing much more on eerie melodic reverberations and system-busting sub-bass expressions below. These are two real rollers for the late-night raving crew.

Review: We are pleased to see Substantial Audio back at it again with this new release as they welcome the ever-ready 140 sounds of Panix inside for a fabulous four track experiment in dub. We begin with 'Regal', a mouthwatering dubwise delight, driven by both it's hypnotic chord progressions and wonky bass synths, before 'Ghoul' sends us straight back to DMZ at Brixton Jamm for some classic dubstep action. The mix strips back significantly for the next one as 'Hench' delivers a bass-heavy bounce, with the release then rounding off with 'Wobble 96', a choppy design that does exactly what it says on the tin!
