Review: Up next on Lempuyang, the offshoot label of Sanghyang Dedari, is newcomer Paolo Zuliani. Listening to Fragments..., it sounds like a seasoned hand has produced these three tracks. "Desolate Places" is a chugging, dubbed out groove that flows and ebbs hypnotically. Bolstered by dubby drums and featuring mournful chords, it recalls the very best of Echocord. On "Rough Edges", Zuliani delivers a firing, percussive track. With a focus on steely hi hats and deft filters, it makes for a killer, stripped back club track. "Dub Side Of Garage" resounds to a slower pace and has a lush disco sound, closing out this fine EP in style.
