Review: Gently opening the door of 2018 with the able assistance of vocalist legend Tali and newcomers Paramount, Ben Soundscape kicks off Intrigue's year with the style and class we've come to expect from him. "Keepsake" is a delicate roller with minimal elements, trippy pianos and subtly gullified bass while "Imaginary Enemies" pries deep into our psyches with Tali giving us the counselling we all need but don't deserve. Intrigue never fail to beguile.

Review: Paramount could be one of the most prolific men in liquid D&B right now, but when consistency matches output like this, nobody's complaining. Based in London his sound switches from East European iciness to soulful Brazilian flavours in an instant, marking him out as one of the genre's most interesting young producers. The EP's title track is smooth and polished, with eccentric little moments to catch the ear, like sparks bouncing off the surface. "Too Much" pushes on with an addictively ebullient bassline swimming deep and bright underneath the icy surface of a glacial rolling rhythm. Really interesting tones and textures in both tracks and well worth checking out.

Review: Fresh-faced bass-driven liquid straight from the heart of London town, Paramount's latest offering places depth and emotion above all else. Incorporating smooth brass and lush atmospherics with deep, luxurious bass, he creates a warmly emotive soundscape, showcasing his minimal percussion in its best light. Second track "Ivory" is another deep roller, this time with more of a jungle bite for the dancefloor crew. Crisp amens brighten up the top end as rumbling, storm-cloud bass blankets the melody. A perfect piece of deep liquid funk.

Review: Dirty bass tinged with Brazilian flavours, "Believe" steps and snaps its way through jazz-infused piano and filthy lower end rumblings. Joakium's "Esperanza" steps crisp and fresh into the forefront of this release, with beautiful piano licks and warm bass straight from Innerground. The inspiration for this EP clearly lies with sun-tinged bass-masters Marky and S.P.Y as chilled, liquid vibes with a nasty bit of kick fall through layers of atmospheric samples. Finally, Pixel's addition "Mankind" brings to mind Cafe Del Mar as slow breaks begin, soon heating up to a swift, classy roller. Three strong tracks straight from Fokuz' top shelf. Well worth a listen.
