Review: Patlac is Patrick Mueller from Hamburg, who has had releases on top labels such as locals liebe*detail and Baalsaal in addition to remixes for Bedrock and Chapter 24. His latest release is his first full length offering courtesy of Offenbach tech house institution Connaisseur. 'Blinded' is a love letter to his hometown - in particular the metro line U3, Hamburg's oldest line and the train which takes Mueller to his studio every day. It had a huge influence on the tracks and set the mood that he wanted to create with this album. Highlights include the hypnotic and minimalist opener "Marcy" (original mix), the old-school electro of "House Of Waves" which surprisingly took its cues from Detroit legends Dopplereffekt, the soulful and spiritual dancefloor drama "Zone000-105" and yet another cryptic title in the form of "HsB62 To VnSg" (original mix) which provided some downtime in the form of some lush transcendental ambience.
