Review: U Wot Blud seriously have to be contenders for having the best label name ever. Their music ain't bad either and here they present who they feel are some dead cert "Rising Stars". All elements of bassland are covered over these four tracks, often many in just one song - highlights include the Robin S-getting stretched into linear garage house of Forbid's "Lost", the ADHD wobble attack of Pavv's "Out Here" and the doomy shuffle of "Givin In" by Albzzy.

Review: 253 is the number of miles between Mr C's Huddersfield home and Pavv's pad down in Brighton. That hasn't stopped them from teaming up for a split EP though, and here they both perfectly capture the sound of In:fluX. There's a tough, no nonsense vibe throughout the EP, with Pavv dropping the deep and dirty wobble-garage hybrid "Don't Look" and the epic, trance-bass delirium of "The Fantasy". Mr C also steps in to deliver the skippy future-bouncer "Dance With Me" which sustains the already high standard of quality on offer here.

Review: Underground Brighton hero Pavv has clearly been busy partying since he dropped his last EP back in May. Now he's returned to tell us all about it and the title alone, Coke & Rum, gives us a good idea of what he's been up to. The title track is a stern slammer with alternating bass gurglers and sparse vocal snippets. The other three tracks continue the doom-boom vibes: "Gonna Be" mixing machine gun beats with soulful vocals, "The Whistler" introducing more synthy melodies to the madness and "Let Me" featuring electronic spirals and powerdrill bass. Tough love.

Review: Brighton's bass behemoth (in the making), Pavv, has already delivered some heavy vibes on labels such as This Is Bass and U Wot Blud? Now he's back with a sizzling four-tracker. The Big L EP goes hard and fast this time round, with the title being an anthemic, high-octane wobbler. "Always" takes the wobble down to its squelchiest depths, while "Where To Go" is thumpin' sci-fi 4x4 chaos. "Who's In Charge" then provides some lairy grime tropes devastating effect.

Review: Longstanding Brighton bass master Pavv returns to Southpoint with an absurd bassline cut that's likely to soundtrack all the best bass nights across the country this season - "Falling". Fluttering with a cute but spooky bassline, laced with prominent vocals from bass singer-du-jour Charli Brix and charged with just the right amount of UKG soul, it's got all the hallmarks of a serious bassline anthem. Elsewhere things get gullier than Brighton pier as "Scatter Dub" lashes out with a broken glass bass, "Pick Up The Pace" gets twisted with some of Pavv's nastiest bass textures while "Gully Face" actually takes us down a much deeper bassline path than its name suggests. Complete with a wild and wily remix from Hamdi, this is one of Pavv's biggest EPs to date.

Review: Brighton's up and coming DJ/producer Pavv is back on Southpoint with some truly representative sounds of the UK underground garage sound and after some great releases on Project All Out, In:flux Audio and U Wot Blud? Records. The sexy and wonky title track is no doubt indebted to legends like MJ Cole, but what an impressive tribute; the use of the sampled vocals on this one is sweet. Bushbaby turns in a pretty killer remix of the track too which we dug, adding more swing to the rhythm and some added 'wonk' to the bassline which worked well. Also appearing is "Run Tings" which is more raw, tracky and full of attitude; save this one for later in the night when you want to up the energy level effectively.

Review: Thanks to a string of release for Project Allout, In:Flux Audio, and U Wot Blud, Brighton bass boy PAVV has grown steadily over the last two years. While we were used to see him appearing on collaborative releases, he has now gained enough trust as to appear solo, and the Vex label have done the right thing by putting out these three solid bass steppers. "Don't Say" is a delightful, pseudo garage number with plenty of musical tonalities, while "Fall Down" uses the same swinging half-steps to deliver more of a classic dubstep framework, and "Control" ups the ante with a glitchy 4/4 groove amid a sea of bleeping synth melodies.

Review: Delivered almost exactly two years since the original "Big L", Pavv sets the world to rights a brand new 2.0 flex and the message is even gullier, grimier and grittier than before. All weeping, stark and pranged out, this will have your whole dancefloor chewing wasps before then know it. Remix-wise Project Allout do what they do best... Commission a whole variety of twists to cater for every bass kink. Dr Cryptic prescribes a heavy course of bassline stomps and organs, Killjoy chunks up with a classic speed garage beat and metallic twang to the bass, Fiyahman introduces trappy horns and warped FX to the vocal sample while Moony makes us swoon with a fresh set of chords and different, altogether warmer, bass tone. Finally Swedger knocks our block off with kicks so thick they'd make your mum blush.

Review: The last time we heard from Brighton's' Pavv, it was back in August and he was biggin up the merits of Coke & Rum. Now he's back singing about "22 Shots" which means he's either gotten a bit gangsta in the interim or he's simply a very thirsty lad. There are four serious bassline joints here, highlights including the UKG laser fest "Hey", the zany pitch-play of "Got Something" and the urgent wobble assault of closer "Humble".

Review: Here U Wot Blud have reached out all the way to Austria, home of rising star Robsi Mantoura. Having spent some time in the UK absorbing the bassy sounds of Julio Bashmore and his ilk, he now gives us EPs like Spread Love. "You & I" is warm, skippy house with extra sprinkles of garage and wobble for good measure. Pelikann toughens it up with starker snare rolls and chants whilst Melinki goes for orchestral DnB and Pavv opts for straight up wobble. Finally the original "Love" is more soulful with nods to 90s garage and even some sax!
