Review: The legacy that Chip Butty holds within UK bass music is pretty outstanding at this point, pushing their sound forward come rain, sleet or shine. This latest box of fun sees Phatworld unleash a potent new single by the name of 'Stormaz', a composition jam packed with dancefloor energy, lethal synthesis and catchy Stormzy samples from the off. This is a release that is all about the remixes however as we see a top quality host gather to get involved. Firstly, Dr Cryptic gives us an electrifying overhaul, followed by Burt Cope's niche-inspired 4x4 recreation and Mintnite's explosive bassline bust out. Finally, the high tempo rhythms and sizzling LFO lines of Baadwrk's remix put the final touches on an excellent selection. Fire!

Review: The party never stops over at Off Me Nut, the quintessential bassline label, showcasing the roots of the genre whilst also seamlessly moving with the times. This time around they welcome two heavyweight bass names as Phatworld & Venz team up across three crazy originals. Firstly, they unveil 'Mario' a warbling wonderland of fun, featuring additional work from Thorpey. They then move into more LFO madness in 'My Mind' which alongside scorching high energy rhythms also features vocal lines from Esme Sarfas. The project then rounds off on a high note with the sizzling synthesizer expansions of 'Noob Riddim', again, embodying the original spirit of bassline music with some serious finesse.

Review: As far as labels in the north go, there are few who have cemented their sound amongst the bassline community as much as Off Me Nut, who's lively 4x4 releases have been constantly pushing the boundaries. This latest project sees them invite Phatworld in to put together another bag of brilliance as he unveils 'One Hundred' to begin with. This one is a straight niche blaster, packed with a bag of exciting LFO movement and vibrant drum maneuvers alongside April Ess. Next we dip into some UKG flavours across the introduction of 'Got Me', which develops into another scatty 2 step madness. Forca then joins the party with a lively vocal line on 'Don't U Forget It'. We then round up with the Blessed remix of 'Inavibe', putting a crunchy end to a solid body of work.

Review: Key Off Me Nut troublemaker Phatworld gets busy with a firing four pack bass attack. Coming on strong like the UK's answer to G Jones, each cut is built up around a strong and hard-hitting bass idea and a cheeky vocal sample. "Genghis Khan" utilises a slew of grime chats of a moaning, high-end groany grainy bass tone. "Certified" gets busier on more of a multi-flavoured bass dynamic as a high end wriggle goes toe-to-toe with a much lower, darker wobble. Deeper into the blend we hit total insanity with "Back To The Music" while "The Way I Go In" references UK garage's glory era before dropping into more bass silliness that's reminiscent of a young Sinden.
