Review: Qumulus has been on our radar for a while now and he's been busy creating some of the most interestingly sweet-natured, hard-grooving liquid on the circuit. "Str8 Flip" is a perfect example of Qumulus and Clart messing with the past and bringing that old-skool sound bang up to date. Fresh and inviting with just a hint of melancholy to keep things moving, it's a perfect summer evening tune. "Lover Dub" picks out delicate tastes of funk guitar and bass against a crisp rolling backdrop, adding soul with a distant brass section. Lovely stuff.

Review: Soul Deep Exclusives has really pulled it out of the bag with this one. Qumulous returns to his rightful place in the D&B spotlight with a pair of jaw-droppingly stunning works of audio art. Review: Qumulus lives up to expectation with a dose of lush, liquid D&B, full of shuffling breaks, breezy atmospherics and soulful overtones. The Bassment Jazz EP kicks off with the title track - a beautiful venture, characterized by muffled narrated vocals, rough, rattling breaks and rolling bass with chiming melodies sweeping over the top and some serious jazz infusions.
