Review: The Chopshop juggernaut - driven by DJ Butcher - shows no signs of slowing down. Here we have Jammin, a bulging compilation express featuring 12 sizzlers by many label favourites. There's a lot to boogie to here, and it'll all get the job done, but the best include Alkalino's cheeky house remake of Prince's Get Off ("23 Positions"), Jayl Funk's sensuous electro-boogie bomb "Do It Baby" and Butcher's own rework of Rockwell's '80s office party fave "Somebody's Watching Me". Basically all your party worries will be sorted in one with this package!

Review: Here's a tantalizing prospect: an expansive collection of edits and reworks old and new from some of the greatest exponents in the disco scene. With such quality fare on offer, picking highlights is tough, but keep an eye out for the contributions from Frico (a straightened-out and chopped-up version of Orlando Johnson & Trance's boogie classic "Chocolate City"), DJ Prime (a soaring version of disco-soul classic "Nothing's Gonna Hold Us Back"), Manix (the filter-heavy disco-funk workout "Hangin Through") and Alkalino (the heavy P-funk jam "This is a Party"). There's also another chance to enjoy scene classics from Revivra (their brilliant 2010 rework of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On?") and The Apple Scruffs (the vocoder-laden Pink Floyd disco cover "Another Brick In The Wall").

Review: Austrian disco zealots We Mean Disco (run by veteran house DJ Pariz/ Senor Manolo) have tirelessly dug deep to find authentic disco 12"s to shake down, spruce up and reintroduce to the world. Now it's time to take stock with this compilation album that acts as a remarkable sampler of the label's roster so far. Standouts include the glistening glamour-funk of "Love Has Come Around" the synthy bleep-soul of "I Need You Now" and the housed-up Michael McDonald-sampling "I'm In Love". Boom!

Review: For their ninth single release, re-edit/rework fiends We Mean Disco turn to little-known Bulgarian disco head Ramsey Hercules. He delivers an EP packed with enticing, soulful flavours, head-nodding slow jams and dancefloor bumpers. Opener "90% of You is Me" delivers a bass-heavy hip-hop take on a simmering soulful classic, while "Soul Mama" brilliantly breathes new life into a sweet '60s funk-soul jam. There's a thicker, bass-heavy feel to the midtempo disco-soul bump of "Each & Every Second", while the breezy "I'm Ready For Your Love" provides the release's most obviously dancefloor-friendly disco moment. To finish off, Hercules dips the tempo with the grandiose close dance disco-soul shuffle of "Love Me Sexy". Tasty.

Review: Ramsey Hercules is a re-edit fanatic who, rather than keeping it cool and underground, firmly believes in sharing the joy of his edits with all and sundry. It's a pretty spot on approach considering the frivolous, party orientated nature of disco edits - the more the merrier! "Ooh Child" is a respectful retweaking of Charles Jackson's 1978 classic of the same name, where a super-elastic twanging bassline leads the charge - now with added thumping bottom end for a sweaty, low-down party anthem.
