Review: The latest instalment of Crosstown Rebels' long-running Get Lost series comes from odd German deep house/tech house fusionist Acid Pauli, a man who looks more like a hairy Open University geology lecturer than a top-flight DJ. Reflecting Pauli's own style, the compilation's 41 unmixed tracks touch on shuffling, eyes-closed deepness, tactile techno, dream house and tongue-in-cheek silliness (the brilliant space-pop of "In My Spaceship" by Jan Turkenburg. More impressively, there are a string of previously unseen exclusives, including excellent tracks from Nicolas Jaar, Nu and Acid Pauli himself.
Review: Having let off some serious stinkers on Hybrid's Audio Addict earlier this year Agro returns to his own imprint with five more blunt-nosed scudders. Once again, it's an understated affair which hits best with its low-swung technique - more rolling than jumpy, more grumbling that shouty, it's the type of tunes you'd expect to hear Randall play at 3am. Highlights come in the form of every track but don't sleep on the elastic bass stretches and sultry vocal on "All The Time" (with Raz), the ludicrously flabby bass on the brilliantly titled "Big Food Mover" and the epic, not to mention sandpapery, collabo between Aggers, Greezey and Kumarachi "AZR". Score settled.

Review: Remix o clock! Brawlin Beatz get busy with the refixes once again as Dead Intent's single from September '17 gets a twist up from two key BB fiends. Raz totally mashes up the botty squelches on the bass of "Gunfire" giving it even more funk. Certified, meanwhile, brings a whole new level of energy, weight and character to "Monsters" with a whole new stripped back one-note bassline. Galvanise those gunfingers today!
Review: Twisted's Grid launches a new series dedicated to the deeper, introspective moments in life with five seriously respected artists at the dials. DJ Limited continues to show how versatile he is with the clanking, wobbling, slurring "To Be The First", man of the moment Need For Mirrors gets his slinky step on with "Such A Thing" while Damage Report gets his dancehall neck brace on with the hardest, snare-snapping jam of the set "Took You So Long". Elsewhere Dexcell add pace and grit to Mutated Forms' space-hopping bleep shock out "Duct Tape" and Raz brings down the curtains with a hurricane snare rattler that's laced with bone-chilling textures and rises. One for the heads...
