Review: Apart from releases on his own Baum label, Dennis Bog aka Resoe has almost exclusively put material out on Kenneth Christiansen's Echocord label and offshoots. Matrix Sequence doesn't mark a radical difference in sound from his usual output, but it does succeed in demonstrating that dub techno can be deadly effective on the dance floor. There's the deep chords and firing percussion of "Ecto", while on "Mocto", tough kicks lead Bog's dazed, frazzled textures onto the dance floor. Final track "Morphing" sees the Danish producer abandon his expansive textures and adopt a more subterranean feel; gone are sound scapes, replaced by acrid acid licks and dense, shuffling beats.
