Review: Next up on Peggy Gou's label is an offbeat release from Riff. The title track revolves around a jittery electro rhythm that plays host to quirky, Italo-style melodies and oddball synth lines. Borrowing from a range of influences, it makes for a distinctive track. The label has commissioned two fine remixes from DMX Krew. On the first version, the UK electro pioneer brings the melodies to the fore, setting them against steely drums and subtle snares. The extended take sees him focus more closely on the dance floor, as a snaking groove is fused with bubbling 808s and a pulsating bass, making for a killer future-retro jam.
