Epicentre, Kumarachi, Conrad Subs, Stompz, Veak, RMS and many more all bring their fieriest artillery with highlights bursting from the seams. Every single track slaps the dance from the stripped back drumfunk and demented mentasms of Substrate's "Throwback" to the mystic sitar twangs and heavy bass bangs of Euphonique's "Moksha" via ruded up Dread bass badness of the bossman's own "Lost In The Jungle". And that's not even the tippiest tip of this anthemic jungle iceberg. Don't dilly dally.

Review: Deep In The Jungle Records is a UK jungle imprint that have been making bigger and bigger waves over the past several years, a big part of which is their affinity for fat compilations that straddle numerous sub-genre boundaries and which represent lots of different artists. This next one is about classics and it features artists like Conrad Subs, Kumarachi, DJ Hybrid, Kartoon and more. Conrad Subs is a favourite of ours and his cut, Takeover, is a wicked, deep rolling piece of work that packs a sick bassline, one which makes you think of late-night raving at its finest. This is a top compilation from a star label of the new wave.

Review: Riffz is landing with the old-school sounds this week, as his four-track No Back Out EP on Back To The Jungle demonstrates. Jungle is currently in the middle of a bit of a renaissance, not that it ever truly went anywhere, but Riffz is slipping in nicely into the more creative, original end of a spectrum which can occasionally err on the side of the repetitive. '2 Late 2 Run' has a wicked halftime intro that lopes along in tandem with its laidback sampling, a nonchalance that's dispelled on the drop's stuttering breaks and bouncing, bassy stabs. This is vibrant, raucous jungle - just how we like it.

Review: Deep in the Jungle know how to do jungle. The clue is in the name, really, and they're proving it again with this huge compilation of 40 huge jungle anthems from some of the best rising stars of the breaksy side of the scene. RMS, SL8R and DJ Hybrid all make an appearance, as do Kumarachi, Veak, Schematic and Epicentre. This is a very strong roster and its reflected in the tunes, with Schematic and RMS teaming up on 'Take It' to combine roughshod, vibrant breaks and moody atmospherics in glorious fashion. Check this one.

Review: If you ain't misbehaving, you ain't worth saving... Hybrid's Audio Addict return to the ravey series they set in 2016 with another hard-slapping six-piece. Do-no-wrong Kumarachi reminds us why he's boss with a stuttering jungle roll and demonically pitched vocal samples, Conrad Subs calls on everyone's favourite macabre aged WWE wrestler by way of twist think break devilry while Hybrid fine-tunes his 20/20 vision with a stinking halftime romp. Elsewhere Riffz lashes out on the razz snares, the mysterious Scartip skins us alive with his rim shots and Habitat strips things back with some beautiful time-stretched drum work. Be good now.

Review: Signing out '16 with two killer remixes, Deep In The Jungle have scorched the entire year with fire and these are no exceptions: K Jah takes DJ Cautious's summer smasher, shreds the soul and adds a rough Bristol scuff to the groove while retaining that heavenly sample on the break. Elsewhere Hybrid reshapes Riffz & Jahnglist Bwoy's 94 homage "Bad Luck" with tougher drums, some of his now signature head-melting Dread Bass drops and full focus on the spine-shuddering pianos. Essential jungle business.

Review: The beats are big and the vibes are plentiful in this massive remix release from the Deep In The Jungle crew. Already releasing a massive anthology of anthems earlier on in 2015, they return with refixes of some of the more devastating tracks.
