Review: Launched earlier this year with an A&R team including Jaguar, Becky Hill, Charlie Tee and Sam Divine, and a mission statement to release music by up-and-coming female and non-binary artists, Lady of the House is a record label with purpose. That would of course mean little if the music they championed didn't hit the mark, but so far, the imprint has kept its standards impressively high. Their latest comes from Dee Panch, Frankly and vocalist Ruby Creed. In its 'Original Mix' form, 'Feel Free' is a low-slung, piano-sporting chunk of retro-futurist vocal house (think Honey Dijon with a twist) that boasts a suitably sleazy, weighty bassline. It comes accompanied by an even heavier, bass-dominated 'Dub Mix' which sounds tailor-made for peak-time plays.
