Review: The In:flux Audio crew have been delivering top quality music for a long time now, 10 years to be precise, and what better way to celebrate than to bring back a number of their heaviest hitters for a fiery collection. Featuring a truly outstanding roster, with the likes of Dr Oscillator, RDubz, Dystinkt, Pelikann and more, this is a great showcasing of what the In:flux sound has represented over the years. Despite being a vibrant collection from top to bottom, two tracks stand out immediately, with the liquified synthesiser swipes of Fork And Knife's 'Jank' and the gnarly, mechanical bass design of Tik&Borrow's 'Kharon' both being real flag flyers. What an achievement!

Review: We've known the Hatched imprint to produce some serious heat over the last few years, with this latest feature drop from RUFUS! being very much off that ilk. We take it back to the old school sounds with this one as the flutey tones and system swinging subs of 'The Old Ways' kick us off with a real dash of OG finesse. Next, the title track 'Nihonzaru' takes the project to another dimension entirely as glittering melodic dusting rests atop a serious bassline, warbling away in the lower frequencies. The pace then quickens significantly on 'Asatori Hiteshi' which combines moogy bass pulses with rolling drum arrangements with eerie bridges before Capcha joins the party for 'Twisted Episode', a glitchy chopper, perfect for the late night moshers!

Review: Macabre Unit Digital certainly know how to set their standards high, a theme in which they continue to dazzle as they invite RUFUS! Inside the camp for a four track smasher. We begin with a dive into the title track 'Battle Groove', a well structured original steppers gem, driven by rolling chord movement and subtle yet grizzly bass textures. This is then followed by 'Inertia', which combines super punchy drums with swampy synthesizer designs, before 'Holographic' strips everything back to basics, combining skippy grooves and catchy melodics with incredible results. We finish up in style as the Eastern soundscaping and writhing bass tones of 'Pandemonium' cause exactly what they say on the tin.

Review: Southside Dubstar are a label that seemingly refuse to let up as they unveil a brand new project from RUFUS!, which is absolutely bristling with potent production. We kick off with incredibly hard hitting title track '2408', and original which punches its way out of the speaker with a slap in the face piece of bass design. Next, we step into the mystic melodic switches of 'Daft Crunk', which combines siren like lead synths with warbling LFO designs before the more stripped back rolling bass tones and raging horns of 'Mindset Get Wrecked' arrive on the scene with instant impact. We then finish up with the in the face synth designs of 'System Shock', rounding off this one with a serious power dosage.

Review: As one of the most consistent projects working in and around the thriving dubstep scene, we are always very excited to see what the latest Hatched release has in store, as we here see them introduce the underground sounds of RUFUS! to the table. We kick off with the super spacey arrangements and haunted vocal presence of 'How I', followed by the super swinging drum movements of 'Iboga', and the super gnarly bass twists of 'KTH'. This is then followed up by the regal horn structures and swerving sub dips of 'The Mighty', before RUFUS! gets into his remix back as he reworks Dubfreq's 'Back' into another more tearout masterpiece, led by crunchy bass designs and smooth harmonies throughout.

Review: Currently denting the game with appearances on some of the most crucial labels in dubstep, northern murker Rufus! leaps from Wheel & Deal (and prior to that Biscuit Factory and Macarbe Unit Digital) to Hatched with four sterling stampers. Sonic highlights include the post apocalyptic theatre and sci fi crunch of "Uruk Hai" the hornets' nest bass buzzes of "Fresh Orange", the trippy humanised elements of "Inner Sanctum" and the raw rusty skank rasp of "What Ya Sayin". Dangerously dark.

Review: Wake up and smell the bake up, Walsh's Biscuit Factory have cooked a fresh batch from three relative newcomers and the results are highly scrumptious; Nottingham three-piece kick off with abyss plunged bass tones and more space that Professor Brian Cox's daydreams, Rufus!'s "Slug Crawl" lives up to its name perfectly with molten rhythmic elements and stacks of tightly coiled funk in the groove while Reaction closes the show on a mystic introspective tip. Grub's up!

Review: Previously spotted on the likes of LW and Biscuit Factory, Rufus! makes his debut on N-Type's Wheel & Deal. Marking his arrival with the sonic translation of an elephant scrap, mangled trumps and all, "Elephant Kombat" sets the scene perfectly with some superb bass designs. "Friction" shoves us deeper down the rabbit hole with kinetic rhythmic energy and sweet subby switches, "Mak" is a much more pensive dramatic piece that nods its cap gently in the Kromestar-style of theatrics while "Triskelion Trip" closes with a cool glitched off-beat sense of funk. We suspect Rufus will be wheeling and dealing again very soon...

Review: Macabre Unit Digital feels like the right place for Rufus! to thrive among his dubstep peers, and conquer this week's bass charts. He's been successful in both domains. The lead track "Tibetan Plateau" is as aggressive in tone and bass as it is effective on the dance floor - this one is certainly due for more than a few rewinds - and "Bahistun Inscription" follows suit with a sleeker, more penetrative groove that brings out a tribal sort of swagger. "Telekenisis", once again, breaks out the mutant bass to cause serious levels of damage on the club speakers, and "Fated (Where Is My Mind)" is the last stab in the gut, a brief farewell that'll leave you clucking for the next hit of Rufus!

Often spotted on the likes of Dank N Dirty Dubz, Subcult and O.B.E, here we find him on the ever-reliable Nauseous Vibez with four outstanding sonic sermons. Highlights include the rhythmic intricacies and percussive power of "Spiritual Warfare", the iced-out liquid motion of "Astral Projection" and the staccato drum dynamics of "Fall Of Lemuria". Long live the king.
